don't we all?! LOVE 1st party titles.

DragonKnight3970d ago

This isn't a first party title. It's at best a 2nd party title, but only just barely.

colonel1793970d ago

It's second party because Sony is publishing and has the rights of the franchise, but a third party is developing it.

Rhezin3970d ago

Ah I see. 2nd party..

NewMonday3970d ago

it looks like van helsing/devil may cry

WeAreLegion3970d ago

Yes, it does. Which makes me happy. Did you actually play the Van Helsing game? It wasn't Devil May Cry, but it was a decent knock-off.

Has this been confirmed a RPG because I get an action game vibe like DMC? If it is an action game I seriously hope the next gen Souls game is being made aswell because it is my favorite RPG with a lot of depth. Hopefully I am not waiting more than 3 years for it and if I am it better blow my mind

I am sure this will still be a great game, just not give me my RPG fix that a Souls game does

Destrania3970d ago (Edited 3970d ago )

Dark Souls 2 was such a letdown. They made things so much easier, including figuring out the world and how to get around it. They basically recycled a bunch of enemies that were already used. The boss fights were uninspired. Gaining soul weapons and magic was flippin' ridiculously easy. The world design was pretty boring. There were like no secrets to find. I could go on and on. There were maybe 3 changes off the top of my head that were actually better for the series. Dark Souls 2 lost the Souls magic. Demons Souls and Dark Souls were a million times better imo. So happy we're getting the same director for this game and that he has creative freedom on PS4 for it. Going to be amazing.

Okay? I just have the concern about how this game may lack classes and the RPG mechanics in Souls games which besides the immersion are my favorite things in the series, I did not ask for your opinion on DkS2.

"The concept itself was different from anything FromSoftware had done before"

Maybe when more info is released this game will get alot more attention. Right now I'm not seeing much revolt from other players wanting this to be multiplat. I bet that will change...
