Gamers throughout the country are reporting that Gamestop has restocked copies of Xenoblade Chronicles in retail stores. Although still unavailable online, users can head to most nearby Gamestop stores and pick up a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles for $49.99.
The one caveat? Buyers are reporting that these copies of Xenoblade are just like those that were made available for a limited time last year. The copies are just like new, but have the shrink wrap removed so that Gamestop can charge whatever price they want and not abide by the standard MSRP.
In a new financial presentation, Nintendo highlights Xenoblade Chronicles as one of several series seeing "dramatic sales growth on Nintendo Switch," joining Kirby, Pikmin, and Metroid. Compared to 1.41 million copies on 3DS and Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles has collectively sold 7.17 million copies on Switch between Xenoblade Chronicles 2, 3, and Definitive Edition.
