Steve Wright -- "Speaking with Stevivor at a special E3 Halo briefing, 343's Dan Ayoub detailed how multiplayer would work in the Halo: Master Chief Collection, comprised of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4."
I'm still shocked at the fact that i'm going to re-live my glory halo 2 days. Wow.
I'm worried that the average age of fps players on consoles these days is significantly lower than back in '04.
It's crazy most ppl that played H2 now have kids, crazzzy, deff make ppl feel old.
I can't wait to play Blood Gulch at 1080p/60fps with better graphics.
I cant wait to experience CE and Halo 2 MP for the first time ever, and to give the other games a real chance. I never did before as I just had my ass handed to me repeatedly and gave up quite quickly.
You're in for a treat with halo 2. I still remember my days of playing zombies on Zanzibar and doing the super jumps with friends on lockout. I need to pick up an xbone now. Its just fantastic. I really hope they also have the clan feature again. Nothing better than me and me clan rolling into battle. Brilliant.
Seeing how I don't have an Xb1, I was a little bummed cause I actually liked me some Halo (had some good times). I was lucky enough to have gotten an invite to play the Destiny Alpha, and can now comfortably move on. Some of that Bungie goodness carried over, and I'm happy. This MC collection is a phenomenal bargain though.
Why exactly were you bummed out? What were you expecting?
I'm a little bummed, cause I can't get the collection (I don't have the platform it's on, as I've already said), though I can get Destiny (so that's good enough).
I've played HaloCE in it's prime only with my friends on split screen. Unfortunately it didn't have online so I wasn't able to really take myself to the next level as I did with Halo 2 and so on. I'm really excited to see how the CE pros did back in the day.
Halo:CE on the original xbox didnt have online multiplayer
Actually, Halo CE did have online access... through XBConnect and Gamespy. I used to wreck noobs daily.
My only worry about this is, I don't want to me playing the same map every day, I'd like to play on every map.
Yeah, I almost wish they went full halo 2, and nixed the voting idea, that way you'd see variety. I've noticed that once the crowd has it's favorite, they'll never vote against it.
Reminds me of crappy Nuketown in Black Ops.
I'm wondering how they'll handle the ranking. Will you have a desperate ranking for each sequel? Or will you have some sort of overall halo rank? Will they have sequel specific playlists?say I only want to play halo2 team objective, would matchmaking keep me in such a hopper? Regardless, I'll be all over this game, but I've got so many questions!
This info is both very interesting and a bit disappointing. I'm pleasantly surprised that they're bringing back the original CE MP rather than the lame Reach-version from Anniversary. That's a huge deal to me. On the other hand, having game choice come down to a vote is a letdown. Personally I'm only interested in playing CE & H2 MP and I was hoping they'd separate the playlists by game. I guess that would dilute the population too much.
Im sure they will add some kind of filtering for matchmaking.
I think I already read somewhere that you can just choose which games nultiplayer you want to play.
Is it bad that this whole collection brings a tear to my eye? I practically grew up with Halo and to have Halo CE and Halo 2's multiplayer on Xbox Live again makes me so damn happy. The bonus no one is talking about is how Halo CE is on Live for the first time since the only other way to play it against other people was on PC. Cannot wait until November 11. :D
I'd say halo 2s top most played maps, can't wait to see what they look like.
