Totalxbox: There's value for money and then there's value for money and then there's Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which plays host to 106 maps from Halo: Combat Evolved (playable online on console for the first time), Halo 2 (which now supports Forge Mode), Halo 3 and Halo 4. Most run on the original "native" engine, but some have been upgraded with new textures.
A Microsoft spokesperson has told OXM that all maps from the PC versions of Halo 2 and CE are, indeed, included.
Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries has moved to explain a recent microtransactions price hike following a community backlash.
so they made several changes how the helmets etc work, however, ive never seen anyone raising prices in a shop due to changes THEY made.
There is absolutely no reason for ever raising the price of cosmetics. They are some of the quickest assets to create but charge silly prices for them. Its greed. There's no other way to spin it no matter what the game is.
The newest From Software game is just around the corner. These are five excellent games to play while waiting for Armored Core 6.
With the release date being just a little over a week away, it may not be a good idea to burn yourself out on mech games until then.
Surprised that the article didn’t mention Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries if we’re talking about mech-related games.
These are some of the best and most popular video game franchises now owned by Xbox Game Studios and Microsoft.
Microsoft was involved with Halo, Gears, Forza, Ori, Flight Simulator and Fable from early development, I will give them credit for those franchises. Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Doom were established franchise before being acquired by MS.
Ah yes, feels like forever ago since Microsoft created Skyrim. So much so, I had actually forgotten they had created it and the other Elder Scrolls games! 🤔
*They really shaped my preteen years w the original Doom too!
I fully expect all these popular franchises to be killed off by Microsoft. Just a matter of time.
Unless they take a huge distance approach which pretty much means they don't ba e anything to do with the games being made ...in that case the franchises should be fine. But then...they shouldn't really get credit.
Soon Microsoft will be known for making Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Candy Crush, Call of Duty etc. Lmao they know what they're doing. Especially with the archiving issue the gaming industry has.
You mean any studio Microsoft could acquire to flog last gen games on game pass ... What happened to HD-DVD that Microsoft pushed so hard ...
The sheer amount of content for the money is ridiculous, they could charge $100 and it would still be a bargain.
Its to much unless theres millions playing it everyday loads of maps won't be played
Hopefully more publishers look at what 343 and Microsoft is doing with this collection. Don't charge people 60 bucks for a prettier game. If you're going to remaster something stack it with value. This won't become a trend but it should.
All this plus Forge on 2-4 which will allow for millions of more maps in custom games. This is truely the ultimate package.
Is that confirmed that halo 2 supports forge mode? Because if so, that's the best news about this game for a (sucks at competitive) custom games fanatic! The only thing better would be if there's theater support for halo 1 and 2
