E3 2014: Bloodborne Preview - GeekNifty

Even back when the game was leaked and known as Project Beast, gamers noted that Bloodborne looked like it was going to be very similar to a Souls series game. As it turns out, these people were wrong. Bloodborne is exactly like a new Souls series game.

Graphically the game is very impressive, with great detail, textures and light effects; unfortunately, the frame rate right now is absolutely terrible. The game appeared to run at 30 FPS when there weren't issues, but there were almost always issues, bringing the framerate down to 15 or even 10 FPS at times. I'm hoping this is something that just needs time to fix, because right now it would be unacceptable for a final game=downgrade

dodgemoose4021d ago

Or just optimisation. They have SCE Japan Studio at hand for help.

Destrania4021d ago

There's literally almost a year of development time. I don't know why people would be worried, especially with a game being directly helped with development by a well established Sony studio. Jeeze. And btw, not a single PS4 exclusive game has been downgraded. Even PS3 exclusives weren't downgraded. Every single one improved and improved leading up to launch.

Your point? How many times have you console fanboys been bamboozled at e3 with what was supposed to be real time footage? Killzone 2 didn't teach you? Watch Dogs didn't teach you? Microsoft running their games on PC's didn't teach you? Sony running Watch Dogs on PC didn't teach you? lol

Kivespussi4021d ago

I'd rather have a downgrade + 60fps than what it looks like now. Sure it looks great but that 30fps...

Going to be tough for us PC gamers :(

This is probably the game I'd most like to know more about. Hopefully we're told more in the not too distant future.

Why a Bloodborne Sequel Could Never Be a True 'Bloodborne 2'

If FromSoftware's Bloodborne ever gets a sequel—and that's a big if—it won't be able to simply pick up where its predecessor left off.

probably due to some.of the endings true.

but u can still continue it on and subsequently end it for good.

I wonder if they could do a prequal where you play as part of the first hunt and see the blood research and the downfall of the healing church and the remaining hunters.

zaanan12d ago

That is a super great idea, I would 1000% pay full price for this! Only if Miyazaki directed, obviuosly. Bloodborne hooked me in a way Dark Souls never did.

“ People will read this and assume "must be a bloodborne remake coming".

Yep, that’s me! LOL

poppatron133d ago

I disagree, within 6 months the remake will be announced, it’ll be out in 2026 or the end of this year.

oldenjon133d ago

I don't know why they'd do something 3 years after the fact unless it represented some new conflict of interest though.

Can’t give it to Bluepoint? What are they doing exactly?

Redgrave148d ago

We just found out and the answer is nothing that you'll enjoy hearing

Npugz7148d ago

Bluepoint was given a live service game that Sony just canceled so they basically wasted that time and resources. Also layoffs are coming to bluepoint so it doesn’t look good.

Eonjay148d ago

This has been stated many times. Everyone keeps blaming Sony but it is in fact up to when Miyazaki is 'Not Busy'.
