Troy Baker playing your Mom cofirmed

Dude's everywhere these days. He really did take Nolan North's job.

Summons753993d ago

I like Nolan but Troy is so much more talented. Nolan always sounds the same but Troy really is devoted to each character he plays and sometimes it's hard to tell.

-Foxtrot3993d ago (Edited 3993d ago )

Nolan sounds the same....really

Penguin, Adventure Sphere, Nathan Drake, Space Sphere, Deadpool, David off the Last of Us etc

I think Nolan is a little more talented to be honest. Developers are the ones who tell Nolan to use his normal voice, like the Prince of Persia, he said to Ubisofts guys outside the soundbooth if he should give him an accent and they were like "Oh no, no....just your normal voice"

I usually can pick up if it's Troy after a while but Nolan....the Penguin and David....I mean wow, I couldn't believe it was him

You're not wrong, but I picked out Nolan real fast in the gameplay vid for The Division.

LOL NOLAN ALWAYS SOUNDS THE SAME? GET OUT. I CAN'T EVEN.

Seriously, it's great to see devs add things to older games.

OhReginald16d ago

Sony....you're really letting ubisoft out of all all companies to out class you??? Give us the bloondborne 60 fps patch....ffs

dantesparda16d ago

I second this (Bloodborne 60fps) plus damn, Ubisoft, you're doing great but now the last thing I want youi to do is mae Far Cry Primal 60fps and AC Unity

Profchaos16d ago

Everytime someone asks for a bloodborne patch it gets delayed 1 day.

ETA next century

I_am_Batman15d ago

They know it's gonna cost them sales of the inevitable Remake that'll probably come around the PS6 launch.

raWfodog16d ago

Good news for when, or If, I ever play it. It’s waaay down on my backlog list lol.

P_Bomb16d ago

I like these 60fps patches. Hoping they’ll do Ghost Recon Wildlands someday.

Yi-Long16d ago

Kudos to Ubisoft for once again going back to older titles and then offering a nice upgrade for free. I know the company gets a lot of criticism, in quite a few cases understandable and justified, but in this area of contintued post-launch support for their SP games, they deserve some credit.

Ubisoft Removes Nudity in Silent Far Cry 4 Update (New Info: Changes Reverted)

Update: Ubisoft has acknowledged that the Japanese version of the game, which includes regional censorship, was mistakenly released globally. The company says it has reverted these changes in the game's worldwide branch.

Ubisoft has quietly removed nudity from Far Cry 4 in a recent update, sparking speculation about Tencent’s growing influence on the publisher.

You can murder, mame, and viciously attack people, but anything that deals with showing a body in a natural state whether for titillation or narrative, is some truly terrible thing. We are so weird with our puritan thought process. Feed our bloodlust and fuel our enjoyment for entertainment of simulating acts of harm and murder, but god forbid you see digitized TnA. It will never make sense to me.

Rebel_Scum40d ago

tbh even if they did remove it, it doesnt matter. I dont even remember when there was nudity in the game. If it was there it was so inconsequential.

B5R40d ago

Agreed. It absolutely makes no sense

Also, even though Ubisoft reverted the changes that removed nudity, there's the bigger issue of developers being able to make large changes to the game you paid for whenever they want.

Stellar Blade comes to mind. This is why buying physical is the way to go.

Best Lead Performance of 2024

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "As game scripts expand in size and the technology to capture performances improves, blockbuster game companies are under tremendous pressure to get the right fit for a leading role. In some cases, said actor essentially becomes the face of that franchise; their mug may be digitally altered or cropped in select ways, but they're – more or less – in the same spot as a film actor at this point. As a result, there's also a keener interest in how those performers sound if they're replacing somebody else.

Perhaps the most glaring example of that was Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake. Alongside a bevy of other gameplay & story alterations, Luke Roberts replacing Guy Cihi's original James Sunderland was a major point of distress for long-time fans before release. Sure, Cihi wasn't a trained actor at the time (and it shows), but he carried a type of unique charm that meshed perfectly with the game's strange world. A similar situation was Troy Baker assuming the mantle of Indiana Jones. How similar could he actually sound to a younger Harrison Ford? Judging by the collective staff & community acclaim, both of them fared quite well, and so too did the others who made up our final five."
