Ubisoft announces Rainbow 6: Siege

Ubisoft has just officially revealed tactical shooter Rainbow 6: Siege.

It looks pretty good. Shame they had to pad out the trailer with the ridiculous team chat. Should have just showed it for what it was because it would have carried some weight without it

I think it looks cool. If you ever played a game called "SWAT" its the same exact thing, I am not sure if Ubisoft copied the formula and pasted it for this Raibow Six game and they killed Rainbow Six Patriots...

Actually, the original Rainbow Six were not that different from this rescue mission either.

But to actually give the classic tactical shooters feel this will need some major bullet mechanics work and damage buff. Those bullet sponge moments were awful as well as how bad the hit detection seens to be... I know it's just pre-alpha, may very well had been rigged like that just for the E3 demo, but still this is primary concern for any tactical shooter so I hope they have that worked on.

SO far this was my wow for the day! I loved the teamwork with the countdown timer. My new very anticipated game! I know its pre alpha but I really hope the graphics get a lot better because it didn't seem like it was in a wide area that graphics should suffer.

Sorry to break it to you, but campers are here to stay, you can only destroy so many walls they can have their back against to... I can already envision my whole team screaming at the little noob camping outside, not playing the objective, just waiting for some cheap kills.

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure this will have more games modes than just rescue, one of which is bound to be some form of team deathmatch... It's just how things are today, not that I like it any better than you.

Absolutely loved this. They dared to be different with this and I really hope it pays off. Better yet, the COD die hards who need something to shoot every other second will be put off by it which will hopefully mean a much better community.

Best of this E3 so far IMO. Anyone have a HQ downloadable version of this and others? Batlefront 3 graphics looks better than any I've ever even imagined. This is going to be one hell of a generation.

Very reminiscent of Rainbow Six 3 back in the day with the lean peek shooting and no sight of the cover system they had in the Vegas series!!! This and HCE/H2's online revival makes me a very a happy gamer indeed!
