Following the 90 minute presentation for Microsoft I am left disappointed at the lack of new titles but none the less here is the list of shown games from the Microsoft conference.
Lol I had the same thought. All games announced were old news except some indies..which looked great. But I truly was uunimpressed with them.....it was better than last year...though anything is better than last year.
I thought the conference was okay. But it would have been MUCH better if we didn't know about 80% of the content shown.
Crackdown, Fable, Forza, Halo 5, Mastercheif Collection were all known before Titanfall released. Even Tomb Raider, COD, and Unity were known before hand. Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus alpha was the only real surprise and even that was hinted at. It kinda feels spoiled.
There was a lot of CG trailers, but not much for this year announced other than the Halo collection. All of the interesting thing was in the "2015 and beyond" section, according to Spencer. Crackdown looks like it will be interesting. Where was Quantum Break though? And no Halo 5 demo? Also, did they swap out Spielberg for Ridley Scott on Halo?
nothing made me feel like i was missing out though, which is what the event should of done. i liked the child of light type game and the division again, nothing else . but nothing made me want the console
@georgenoob I laughed waaay to hard at your comment ahahah :D You still got your PS3 bro!
Edit: Oh man why the stealth edit? His original comment looked kinda like this: "People's expectations where simply too high." And YOURS WERE TOO MY FRIEND lol
I thought it was a great conference. B+. Sunset Overdrive, Halo, and Forza Horizon 2 for this year is great plus all the multiplatform games. What exactly do you guys want? Games that will come out in 4 years?
Lol @ Georgeenoob not being able to accept other peoples opinions and putting things into lists in order to score points....pathetic.
There was too much focus on multiplats/exclusive DLC, too many CG trailers, nowhere near as many megatons as people were expecting (im guessing you included), no *OMG, CROWD GOES CRAZY* moments. It was just a 'good' conference.
@georgenoob and your trying way to hard to make it like there was anything amaZing announced, no gameplay for any games on your list for 2015 and beyond, most was 3rd party, again they spent to much money on 3rd party exclusive content, fact is they really didn't show anything that wasn't already known about. No megaton announcements, no surprises, and hardly any gameplay.
I give them a B, they did show some indies, they stayed focused on games.
@georgenoob is very easily pleased, Basically everygame is AAA to him. lol
Microsoft were average just like most of their game offering's, not that im expecting much more from sony either. It's still too early in next gen to see megaton reveals.
All im seeing is PC versions of PS3/360 style games on next gen. Sunset overdrive looks like the most try hard to be different but generic in every way dudebro shooter i've seen in a very long time.
way to change your original comment of, "people had too high expectations" (the irony of that being that you, among others, had the highest of expectations out of anyone around here), and turn it into anti-sony rant. you just can't admit that you were disappointed by their presentation, can you... ?
and i'm pretty sure you don't even known what AAA means.
Forza h was already announced pre e3...crackdown was no surprise because it was already confirmed but I'll count it because it was the first I've seen of it. The other 3 were new to me. Also why exclude the indies...they, besides halo, were the best of the Xbox conference imo. Indies are games and they count.
Only game people didn't know about is scalebound. Crackdown 3 was teased lastyear already with the logo on the back at E3 2013. Not showing gameplay will get them if Sony shows uncharted. They shouldn't have shown Sunset overdrive before E3 . Halo collection looks like good value.
Really theres nothing really coming to xbone. I hope Sony can show some good games because the press conference was meh. First on Xbox is not a megaton ms.. Oh and no Gears tease? Are you kidding me?
I said this yesterday that Microsoft would not have a bunch of first party exclusives. That show was a huge disappointment . Microsoft just showed a bunch of multi platform games that will be inferior version on xbone Juan not impressed . Microsoft had a better E3 last year with titanfall and Ryse looked amazing at last years E3.
Not impressed the bar is set low for SONY to beat. I was wait for the dagger of death from Microsoft and it never happened . Just more timed executive . I feel sorry for the xbone fans
That game from platinum games looks lame . I loved phantom dust on xbox but It was a Japanese develop game I hope Microsoft don't Americanize it .
Yesterday comment "lets look at this logically . Last year microsoft thought they would beat SONY. Last gen microsoft was in close to PS3 worldwide sales and 360 out sold PS3 in the USA. Microsoft did this without alot of first party executive games . microsoft did this with timed executive and timed dlcs . Fast forward 6 months SONY is beating the tar of xbone. microsoft has drop every idea it had and now is coping every thing that SONY has done. Now the point last gen microsoft has said first party executive are not important and came close to beating PS3 without alot of first party executive . It takes years to develop game microsoft just started coping every thing that SONY has done in the last few months . I really doubt that microsoft has that many games in develop . But SONY does that's how PS3 out sold 360 with first party executive games "
really i thought it was a good presser, and i get mad disagrees? hahaha people here make me laugh or is it that i didnt give it the magically A+++++? which is it?
For xbox fans conference was great. But what about people who are still planning to buy X1? I dont think there were must-have exclusive games (megatons).
Yes, it felt like the conference was aimed at the dudebro stereotype with big buzzwords and over the top presentation. I hope Sony has waaay more exciting stuff to show, otherwise this years E3 is muchos 'meh'.
At the end I actually was happy to not have wasted money on a Xbox because all the stuff I care about is available on PS4 as well xD
Phil Spencer definitely (and the hardcore Xbox fans) overhyped it. he should have just emphasised the point of this E3 conference being a starting block for Microsoft after last year's horror show, rather than making it seem like the E3 to end all E3s.
if you look at it from that standpoint it was good.
Yep, it wasn't really bad. It just felt like they are trying too hard to be likeable. They pretty much went the same route Sony went LAST YEAR, only that people excepted them to be AHEAD of them THIS YEAR already. Now Sony is probably three steps ahead already judging by all the rumored megatons... so I can't wait to see how this unfolds in just a few hours.
Another poor showing by MS. Nothing had me wanting to get an Xbox. Some exclusives sprinkled in but nothing that looked great. Most of the big titles coming to different platforms.
And funny how much a difference a year makes. Virtually no Kinect BS.
They showed games which is always great, but nothing that left me salivating.
They pretty much showed off game you knew about. I've stayed away from spoilers so I pretty much have little idea what's coming out, and most of the stuff wasn't exciting or new.
What game makes you want to get an Xbox? -One of the indie exclusives? No. -Milked out Halo 5? No. Although the Chief collection for $60 is pretty sweet. -Sunset Overdrive? Eh, didn't look that great to me. -Witcher, Division, Evolve, Assassin's Creed, looked great, but they are all multiplatform. -Phantom Dust looked cool, but only a trailer.
We asked for games and they gave us games to tear them apart would not be fair. Although the exclusive DLc/Beta content is so Ms but they gave us a a lot of content. What more could we asked for be fair guys do you recall last year. We asked for improvement and we got it.
Phil promised games and I'll admit he delivered, this was a show which revolved around games, however these "games" were either games we knew about leading up to E3, games shown off last year or multiplatform games
So in conclusion they delivered on what they promised but it just seemed like the whole conference was a huge statement instead, like "Hey guys...we can do games, we love games, come back to us"
Wow was that a great showing. Aside from their AAA first party titles they unveiled a lot. New CoD gameplay, Assassins Creed, The Witcher, The Division, Tomb Raider I honestly don't see how the competition can top this especially Sony who will need more than just Uncharted. ;)
lol give it a rest guy, it was all 3dparty, hints coming to other platforms.... no need for sony to top them. lol, witcher&acreed&divisio n rest of show, whatever. overhyp yes it was..
"... New CoD gameplay, Assassins Creed, The Witcher, The Division, Tomb Raider ..." - you do know all those games are on PS4 too don't you? In fact, they will likely look and play better on PS4 going by current trends.
I give it a B. As far as MS goes, this is the best theyve done in years. Didnt see Phantom Dust coming at all. I wouldve liked to see more Japanese centric games but overrall i was at least slightly interested in every title shown. I hope with the original creator Crackdown 3 can be a return to form.
Where was the megaton third party exclusive?
I agree
This Conference was way overhyped
Scalebound Saved this conference imo

Grade: C-
It was awful way too much CG not enough gameplay or dates to titles
