God of War PSP Entertainment Pack out Tomorrow

From the Ps.blog:

"Back in February at Destination PlayStation, we unveiled the God of War PSP Entertainment Pack, and we knew many of you couldn't wait to get your hands on the limited-edition "Deep Red" PSP with Kratos' image silkscreened on the back. The waiting game is now over, as the new bundle hits retailer shelves tomorrow. Beyond the collectability of the PSP itself, you're also getting the PSP's highest-rated game to date in God of War: Chains of Olympus, the comedy smash Superbad on UMD video, and a PSN voucher to download the multi-player action hit, Syphon Filter: Combat Ops, all for $199.99 (MSRP). That's a pretty hot bundle in my opinion.

PoSTedUP5662d ago

yea man it is. its got me wanting to go out an buy it. an to know that it has remote connection to my ps3 is just amazing.

omodis4205662d ago

That thing looks pimp. Makes me wanna PSP. Has anyone heard if they will be porting Chains of Olympus to the PS2?

gambare5662d ago

the developers mentioned "no PS2 port of CoO", so, if you want a PSP with a good bonus, that's a good excuse.

I know what I'm picking up tomorrow.

I love the bundle but hate the color. Red is too loud for a portal device, specially when you're gaming at work ;) Plus the face print on the back is kinda cheesy.

Ummm.... I thought this was already out? My local Walmart already has it out for sale.

Ranking the God of War Games

Kratos has been on a rampage, killing Gods in epic battles since 2005. With each release managing to offer high-octane action, I explore each God of War title and rank every adventure from his journey to Olympus to his Norse tales of fatherhood.

I won’t rank Ragnarok just yet, although it is honestly leaving me and my wife blown away…won’t go into details right now, not done as I assume others aren’t either, maybe some of you are, idk haha.

But here’s how I rank them

5. God of War 3
4. God of War Ascension.
3. God of War 1.
2. God of War 2.
1. God of War 2018.

MrNinosan385d ago

My same ranking exactly, with Ragnarök at #1.

ClayRules2012384d ago

Wow, that’s pretty interesting that someone has the same ranking as me haha. So, did you beat Ragnarok? I assume so with you placing it at #1

Flawlessmic385d ago

1. God of war 3
2. God of war 2018
3. God of war 2
4. God of war 1

Haven't played the others but about 30 hrs In to ragnarock now so safe to say if it keeps up it will end up being at the top of my list when I'm done.

I will say the pacing of the original titles and the epic feel to them I feel is way better than the new one’s. Like, I could recognize and appreciate the praise God of War received, but it bores me to tears except for the pivotal moments.

However, that being said I feel Ragnarok is waaaaay better than 2018. I’m only on Ch. 6, but it’s pretty much rocked my face off from the get-go.

I’m really split between this being my GotY or Elden Ring.

I think different games in the series had different strengths but all are great. I liked the original as it was an origin story and the mechanics were fresh. The sequel added smoother gameplay. Three was just so far ahead of it's time graphically it wasn't even funny. Plus great gameplay and bosses and insane gore and nice use of sexy time. The reboot was cool but lost a lot of what I liked about the original trilogy (I don't need my games grown up, just fun). Will wait and see with ragnarok as haven't had time to play it yet.

Should change that headline to: "Old School Titles We Definitely Aren't Going to Get In the New PS Plus Subscription"

roadkillers603d ago

Honestly, I would be surprised to see a lot of the first party titles let alone the third party. If Sony wants to knock it out of the park, add some of these.

BrainSyphoned603d ago

Rising Zan because Pushman is the best voice acted boss in the history of gaming.

Konami RPGs---Ring of Red, Azure Dreams and Suikoden.

Thousand Arms, Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Persona 1, both Persona 2 and Persona 3 from Atlus.
Any of those would make me happy. Ogre Battle and Azure Dreams the happiest.

Knushwood Butt603d ago

Did you see the news about Tactics Ogre Reborn?

Big fan of Tactics Ogre but have it on Vita and Vita TV.

Puty603d ago

I wonder if the ps1 games will have trophies.

Ron_Danger603d ago (Edited 603d ago )

Most likely not… however Sony did patent (a few years ago) a method of adding trophies to ps2 games based on where on the disc information was being read from (basically t detected when it was loading a new level which would trigger the trophy). I’m assuming they used that tech when they started selling ps2 games for PS4.

jznrpg603d ago

There were specific trophies too not just level based if I remember correctly .
