E3 2014 and why 'Trust' is the key this year

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:

Last year saw a different kind of E3 than gamers were used to. For starters, there were almost no genuine surprises in this day and age of instant media saturation. On top of that, Microsoft and Sony came ready to take center stage with their hardware while Nintendo opted to sit on the sidelines and find a different way to try and connect with their fans. A lot of strong feelings emerged from that show, but I think a new kind of theme is going to be key during 2014's E3 conference.

Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony and other publishers will need to show gamers that they can be trusted this year, which will prove more important than ever as they fight for our dollar.

The story is too old to be commented.

If trust is key, MS might as well start planning for next year's E3 so they can try to go at least a year without reversing or otherwise changing course.

MysticStrummer - I don't think you are the only one who feels that way. Given how quickly they turned around last year on topics (prompting all those 'Xbox 180' jokes) and now the decoupling of the Kinect 2.0 from the Xbox One, fans have to wonder if Microsoft has a clear direction they intend to take - and stick to - or not.
