Replace that bum known as Iwata, and put a Yamouchi in his place. Iwata sucks. I don't care how much money he made for the company, Nintendo wasn't meant for soccer moms and toddlers.

randomass1712498d ago

If he brought the company success, he's far from a bum. I can understand why people don't like Iwata's ideas and policies but why are people so hateful of the man? He's just running a business and other than Wii U he's done a pretty good job of it.

I see what your trying to say, but the fact that Iwata brought a ton of money to the system doesn't make it acceptacle WHEN it came at the expense of:
1--the core audience,
2--lost them their primary audience to Sony,
3--Caused 3rd party companies to abandon them almost entirely,
4--and ruined the reputation of the company in the eyes of gamers are aren't mindless Ninty-drones.

Then, Iwata screws up by making the Wii U which the casuals don't even want. No one does.

Saying that all of those problems are acceptable (because of a momentary boost in money) is like a local prostitute or pornstar saying that it was totally worth the money despite:

1--Loosing the respect of her family.
2--Lost said family (I.E. husband and kids) to a much more reputable woman.
3--Caused friends to leave them too and abandoned by members of community
4--and ruined the reputation of their family members, former friends, community/neighborhood, etc.

Iwata is a pimp. And now his harlot is looking ugly. Time for Ninty to find a new man, get her act together and become a respectable member of the community (gamers & 3rd party) again.

Okay... this followup comment of yours is borderline crazy. That is much more animosity than necessary and I think you should seek help. Disagreeing with him is one thing but you seem to have some sort of vengeful hatred toward the man. I'd like a more hardcore direction for Nintendo as well, but Iwata has done a lot of good work for Nintendo no matter what you say and deserves to remain with Nintendo in some capacity even if not as president. He is not a pimp by any stretch of the imagination, he is a respectable man just like Yoshida who just chooses to do things differently.

I like how you try to diffuse the truthful points I made by attempting to gaslight me and say that i am borderline crazy. I am neither borderline (I clearly show that the man is in fact a bum) nor am I crazy. In fact, it was once said that crazy is the repetition of the same failed attempts, and Iwata is known for that (failures in terms of keeping the core satisfied, even if he also wants to target soccer moms and the few Ninty fans who are so out of touch (and usually old) that think that The Simpsons are still funny; live in their mothers basements, and still think that Iwata's Nintendo is the same as Yamouchi's. So under those circumstances, both Iwata and the die-hard (not all fans) Ninty drones are the ones who are crazy. I like how you use a Sony avatar to try to pretend that you are nuetral (just like when you use to have the Shantae avatar) but you are just a Ninty enabler. I mean no offense, I just call it like I see it.

I hate when people attach themselves to a brand, even riding it out as it plummets to oblivion. Like Square Enix, Capcom/Resident Evil series, etc--It's time to demand MORE from these companies, especially Nintendo, because I grew up on it too. But it sucks now. Fact.

"Please Understand"-- Iwata

I come in peace, to bring the truth, even if you dislike it, a true debater debates, not resort to gaslighting

randomass1712497d ago (Edited 2497d ago )

You just call it as you see it as do I. Have you ever considered that this is just my opinion? I'm a Sony fan before anything else, but with all of the Mario Kart buzz lately, I've been mostly hanging out in the Wii U section.

You're not a debater. You're hateful and you're arrogant. And you're calling me an enabler because I don't hate a man? A man who helped bring me the Wii U experience I am currently enjoying the way Yoshida is bringing the PS4 experience I will pick up on shortly after. Keep your hatred to yourself. In the mean time, I'm going to play the games I enjoy.

Sorry man, just calling it as I see it. Good day.

edit: "But it sucks now. Fact."

And this is where your argument completely falls flat. You say it sucks but that's a subjective argument. I don't agree with it at all. Wii U is a much better console than Wii in every way and I like it a lot for what it is. Having a ton of fun on Mario Kart 8 as we speak. And I'm still going to enjoy PS4 later on. If this bothers you, then bug someone else. I think Iwata is a good, respectable man, the same way I view Yoshida as such. They both are the reason I have games to get excited for and enjoy.

Thanks for the link to a rumor. Nintendo has three events tomorrow. How about we make a slight attempt to have some fun with them?

Hopefully they become Nintendo's next CEo

coltlokk2497d ago (Edited 2497d ago )

Guys, the Yamauchi family probably doesn't know how to run a gaming company. They are just shareholders. They've never been deeply involved in the decision making of Nintendo. The only real connection they have (besides being shareholders) is that their father was CEO....I don't think it's a good idea for these outsiders to suddenly become the CEO.

If Iwata is going to replaced, I hope it is with someone who knows how the industry works and has been at Nintendo for at least 5 years.
