Ram isn't about draw distances..it's about having a lot of animations and textures loaded into memory that don't repeat.

GPU determines draw distances.

Incorrect. Intel is releasing the i7-5930K (6-core 12-thread) Haswell-E and i7-5960X (8-core 16-thread) in just a couple months in Q3 2014. A few of the new X99 boards were shown off at Computex in Taipei this last week.

DDR4 is slated for a public market release in 2015 for consumers. Everything in 2014 seems be just for companies, servers and maybe enthusiasts. We will see.

Memory has so little affect on gaming performance this isn't really exciting. Maybe if we hear dnew about video memory, then it get exciting. Like Volta that has stacked Vram and increase memory bandiwnth by 4-5 fold.

I could see DDR4 being a great benefit to AMD APU in the market. As you know APU uses system memory as the VRAM for gaming.

Nope that is not true actually, without improvement (innovation too) of RAM memory PC gaming (or anything on PC actually) would be way more complicated and had poor performance overall.

Yeah but right now you take a basic 1333mhz memory stick vs a 2600 one and there isn't even 7% difference. Beside APU, but who really game on apu.
