OnlySP: Remasters of previous released games has seemingly become a big thing for the gaming industry as of late, with Tomb Raider, the Metro series and possibly the entire Halo collection receiving the next-gen upgrade.
The Metro devs once said that http://n4g.com/news/1241492... I REALLY hope it happens though
Me too, I never got to play the first two games.
I can't run the second one on my current PC rig very well, so it would be nice to have it on PS4 for sure.
get it on pc?
Do you really think that hasn't already crossed my mind? Can you even guess why I haven't already played it on PC
Buy me a pc that can run it?
It will be a stupid thing if they bring it , come'on guys this is not the ' next-gen ' if all developers do that then we must stay with the ' old-gen ' .. we don't want Remasters we need some good games without the delay thing ..
Considering Playstation owners have never played The Witcher games unless they have the Xbox 360 or PC, I don't see how this would be a bad thing for them..
The Witcher 1 and 2 are in Onlive very cheap.
well then lets bring all PS3 and Xbox 360 games to the the " real next-gen " .. if you really care about these players i'm not against you but with all these remasters , just prepar your self for the remaster gen
I wouldnt buy them even if there were PS4 remasters available. They've said that you don't need to play the past Witcher games to know enjoy/understand the Wild Hunt. It IS a bad thing if they go this route because thats time and resources taken away from built from the ground up next gen projects.
What Pocky said
But I thought all PlayStation owners had high end pc's?
Also, I thought PC didn't have any good exclusives. I've been told this countless times, so why such enthusiasm to get these games on next gen consoles?
We wouldn't want our old games accessible if Sony and MS decided to give backward compatibility instead of trying to make us pay for the same games we already bought.
No one is forcing you to throw your old software/hardware away.
True but the majority of people can't afford multiple consoles, have small places so can keep multiplle consoles, all sorts of reasons. There is no reason why in 2014 they can't figure something out to show they care about all the support they've been given. Its not expensive and makes gamers happy.
Okay then. Square Enix will never bring Kingdom heart Mix versions to Xbox.
Good example Naruto, also like Sunset Overdrive will never come to Playstation.
Well "currently" doesn't mean never so until then I'll hold onto hopes.
Shame too though
I say give it a rest.
Dont see the point of it coming to PS4 since people who own the PS4 couldnt have played the other Witcher games on PS3. Sony fanboys said this about Kingdom Hearts on Xbox One that there is no point of it being on it since the other ones were never on Xbox before and Xbox gamers never played the series before.
I played The Witcher 2 on 360 and that's how I got hooked into this incredible series. I am anxious for Witcher 3 for my PS4 or Xbox One (I haven't decided since I have both consoles). It would be great if the remastered versions were to come out but I understand that the studio is focused on the current game.
Dang! The one remaster I actually want to happen might not. Though CS projeck red has a reputation of being on their fans' side. Maybe if they get enough requests...
Are the first two Witcher games good?
One is a little slow(lot of running around/back tracking) and the combat feels a bit clunky. It has good characters, atmosphere, and a relatively good story. Two supposedly makes improvements in almost every area, but I haven't played it yet. They are both regarded as being up there with some of the best RPGs by many people. They are both available on GOG.com DRM free and I will be picking up the Witcher 2 when the time is right. I would say they are good or even great games depending on who you ask.
In short, yes. Other than that I really hope CDP don't bother because I want them to keep making new games and not focus on old ones for you guys. It's simply a missed opportunity, you chose other exclusives over PC games. PC gamers don't whine about it when a console exclusive isn't on their system like MGS5 is coming to PC. Maybe because we can emulate almost everything but still.
fools the witcher 2 on PS4 with the current games drought would be a hit. I would buy it day one, and i already played it
They won't waste time with the past. First two games were made with PC in mind, you can get the director's cut version of each game for PC. Get a fucking PC and play them all you want, both have full mod support.
thats good. concentrate on new stuff please.
Wish I had a decent PC. I've read all 7 Witcher books and beat W2 multiple times on xbox but don't really have any clue what happens in W1.
There's eight of'em, Sapkowski wrote kind of a prequel to ''Wiedźmin'' saga.
How is this news? Hey, these games aren't being made!! In other news, Valve isn't remaking the original Half Life!! Nintendo isn't remaking Kung Fu!!
I´d rather have them focused on Ciberpunk,i managed to play the second one on Xbox 360 and i recentlly bought the fist one for 7€ on steam,so... But i can see the allure of having a new port and remastered versions of this amazing games,by the way i stronglly recommend reading the books if you have the chance, beutifull work of literature,it´s easy to see why it´s part of the school curryculum in Poland, can´t wait...
So much noise made recently about remastered games.Devs are getting lazy.Bring new games,New IP's.Regardless of how good a game was last gen.Time spent remastering is time wasted. It's a new gen for crying out loud.Should be exiting times ahead never mind going backwards.I'm sure everyone has that special game that they would love to see remastered,me included but to be honest I don't care.I would be pissed if I knew that that a certain dev was to busy remastering old games instead of moving on and concentration on some new games/IP.
