Honestly speaking, I don't see the problem. Advertisers have been doing this for DECADES and it's in no way limited to Gamefly, video games, or even sales for that matter. Furthermore, I like to believe that the average person knows how this game works (similar to how many people won't bother with crazy BF deals because they know they're in short supply) and for that reason it loses a lot of its deceptive elements.
