This is about as bizarre as it gets. Oxygene Media, who may now be most well-known for astroturfing on Miiverse, has slammed the developer of I’ve Got to Run! over a review.
In honor of Satoru Iwata, indie developer 4 Corner Games is holding a limited-time eShop sale to give fans a chance to have fun with their games.
Doesn't this feel odd to anyone else? - It feels more like a "Let's use this news to drive up future sales of our games! / Get our games noticed!" (Which is disgusting).
I know he is basically giving the game away for free, but this is still in poor taste.
What he should have done, is had it on sale for $1, and said that all proceeds go to some cancer fighting charity.
I would actually buy it at that point.
Ryan Johnson from The Gamers Lounge writes "A few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to review a little Wii U title, I've Got to Run! Developed by the one-woman team at Four Corner Games, Syrenne McNulty got to forage ahead in her passion for video games by releasing her first game ever on a home console."
In today’s Indie Corner: Daily Dose we get a sneak peak at some footage from Chris Seavor’s Rusty Pup. The game is looking beautiful and just as you’d expect coming from the ex-RARE developer. News has also reached Nintendo Enthusiast, that Bulb Boy Team are considering bringing their point and click adventure game Bulb Boy to the Wii U eShop. The game is currently seeking funding via Kickstarter. Syrenne McNulty has also announced plans for a sale n her debut game, I’ve Got To Run. As we revealed last week, a new complete version of the game will be heading to the Nintendo 3DS in the future.
......sigh. Considering how most developers see their game like their own child, I can see why they're doing this if its getting marked as a failure by reviewers. It doesn't make it right in anyway, I think they're being idiots, but I understand why they're doing it
What a bunch of babies. That, and if you choose English as your response language, then please type it close to correctly,or "speak" it in a way that doesn't make you sound like your 8 years old, and on the internet for the first time.
Your representing your game and company after all.
* So basically this lady gave a bad review of their game, and they decide to troll her and make her look bad on Miiverse because her review is the first comment on their site/game.
THAT^ is beyond pathetic.
EVERYONE gets a bad review for their game. Deal with it and make a better game.
