OT

Is it normal for a regular DS4 charging with USB to make a bit of a 'buzzing' sound that other people can hear in a party?

sGIBMBR3610d ago

Are you using a Turtle Beach headset? If so then it's a flaw with Turtle Beach technology and has existed since as long as I can remember.

I've not experienced this using the mic I got with my PlayStation.

morganfell3610d ago

If it is OT then take it to the forums.

I picked up 3 of these - I have 3 DS4s. Snapping them on was a breeze except for one of the modules and it was a bit feisty for some undetectable reason. Then after a few minutes of wrestling it inexplicably snapped into place. It changes the placement of my middle fingers under the controller but other than that the device has actually worked quite well. Very happy with my purchase.

does anyone know exactly how much hours in total you get from a controller fully charged and also the power pak fully charged.

Fishy Fingers3610d ago

Seems most users average 7-9 hours playtime with the standard battery, so assume this will offer up 14-18 hours.

Guess it depends on what your doing/playing.

Neonridr3610d ago

independent tests haven't been revealed yet, but it's expected to nearly double the battery life using the powerpak since it uses a battery with nearly double the power.

Clown_Syndr0me3610d ago

I have no problem plugging my controller in, but for those that do this is probably an essential. The DS4 battery is pretty dismal.

Neonridr3610d ago

yeah, I plug in the controller when it's not needed, but if I am playing for a while and I need more juice, I have to go sit very close to the TV. The included charging cable is a joke. I need to get a much longer one.

Clown_Syndr0me3610d ago (Edited 3610d ago )

Yeah that cable is tiny! I use the cable that came with my plug and play kit for xbox one, it reaches all the way across the room to my sofa so its much more practical.

Also if you sit near a wall plug you can use a wall charger, Ive done that before.

Nyko are darn good. They do what all 3d party hardware manufacturers should do. Not make a cheap product that is inferior to the first party product, but an affordable product that rounds off the rough edges of the hardware we have, love it.
