Delay Bandwagon: List of Video Games Delayed to 2015

Nerdacy: "It has become customary to announce a game about one year in advance and then delay it another year so gamers can prepare themselves mentally to either be let down or completely wowed. It is good that publishers are allowing developers to continue working on their games so they can be truly completed when gamers purhcase them. The problem is, though, that there are simply too many developers delaying games these days. Here is a list of the major delays that have occurred in the recent months."

Need games NOW--I mean like this summer/Fall. I'm getting bored. Watchdogs is alright (IMO), Wolfenstein might be good but FPS games are getting on my nerves.

Destiny doesn't have me excited yet. Here's hoping Driveclub and Deep Down aren't delayed AGAIN. I'm bored to tears. That's why i'm on n4g instead of playing atm.

UltimateMaster4037d ago

Bayonetta 2 and X might actually be some of the best games to look forward to this year aside Remastered Games.

@dondon
Do yourself a favor and pick up Child of Light and Transistor.

Skate-AK4037d ago

Those are all the games I want haha. At least there will be Driveclub.

Relientk774037d ago

I hope theres some AAA titles for 2014, most of the games I want are 2015 and TBA

Palitera4037d ago (Edited 4037d ago )

Again, there is no delay.
The games are being announced with fake release dates to generate hype and buzz.

Do you remember that announcement for a Del Toro game? Do you remember the hype, how we discussed it everyday?

Exactly. No one cared. Maybe because it was announced for a 3 years later release?

Today it would have had a teaser for the announcement of the twitter where you'd do the contest to know the date of the embargo lift for the fake release date.

And then, six months before it, the true release date would appear.

-

You can also believe that most AAA games being delayed is simply a coincidence, not money talking and marketing... Surely.

@4.1: I said "talked", not "talks".

The DelToro game got canned by THQ, that's why nobody talks about it...

Yui_Suzumiya4037d ago

Actually InSane is supposedly still in the pipeline but just doesn't have a publisher.

TheWackyMan4037d ago

They should have just released the consoles in 2014. If you want a next gen system, get a Wii U, it has the largest library of worthwhile games out of the three consoles right now.

Blackleg-sanji4037d ago

i actually agree could have waited to buy my ps4 hype caught me although i bought the wiiU at launch to.(bad idea as well)

TheWackyMan4037d ago

Same here, I bought the Wii U at launch and regretted it immensely. if they had waited until fall 2014 to launch PS4 and Xbone, all of the launch games would be more polished and ready to go, and you would have had infamous second son and driveclub at launch.

AceBlazer134037d ago

So the lesson is, no consoles at launch. I'd probably still buy the PS5 and any other console I'm interested in at launch though, I just love the feeling of having it b4 everyone else.

Bennibop4037d ago

Have not been disappointed with my ps4 purchase has at least been a aaa game a month plus indies to keep me occupied ( have been playing games more thoroughly too.) after dead rising 3 and a week of titanfall I barely play on x1 and there does not seem like much I am going to be interested in until 2015 as will buy multiplats on ps4.

ginsunuva4037d ago

There is no "they."

If Sony waited, MS wouldve done fall 2013 to get a sale headstart, and vice-versa.
