Eurogamer : "Having now completed our analysis, it's clear that the PS4 gains an advantage with smaller drops in resolution that occur less frequently than they do on Xbox One. Metrics in the area of 1760x1080 are found on PS4, while on the Xbox One this can drop to an extreme of 960x1080 in some scenes. This is usually identifiable by an increase in the amount of jaggies on screen, along with a slightly fuzzier appearance to the already gritty aesthetic that Machine Games employs throughout the game.
Outside of the more aggressive dynamic framebuffer on the Xbox One, there's little to separate it from the PS4 game. Shadow quality is slightly better on the PS4, but the artwork, effects and lighting are all basically identical. The PS4 holds up the closest in delivering a native 1080p experience at 60fps, so benefits from slightly more consistent image quality. As such, once again it's the PS4 release that is our preferred console choice. However, the differences between the two consoles are minor and Wolfenstein is really a worthwhile purchase no matter which one of these systems you own."
Like the film or television industry, the world of gaming has seen its fair share of reboots over the years. While some of these video game reboots have had
Xbox Game Pass Quests recently reset for the month of September. So if you try to collect as many Microsoft Rewards points as possible, there's a new set available now.
BLG writes, "There can be only one best Wolfenstein game. Since the franchise’s debut in 1981, the Wolfenstein series has graced our gaming platforms for over forty years. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true! In honor of that legacy, we’re going to list some of the best Wolfenstein games and the worst. That’s right: it’s the Wolfenstein games ranked."
Scheiße! Nein.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein is the best in the series. After that:
New Order
New Colossus
Old Blood
I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
Oh my! I'm gonna shoot myself.:)
I guess the pay off of doing 60fps were dynamic resolutions, it drops a little on ps4 to something like 1760 x 1080 compared to xbox one 960x1080. The xboxone really needs more esram in it to stream data better or more rops (but thats impossible to implement because of hardware).
This game for the PC is locked at 60FPS no matter what GPU setup you have. Moreover advanced IQ settings are not all there for PC gamers. This game was obviously made with the console in mind first and foremost.
If you're rocking a Crossfire or SLI equipped PC rig, your money is wasted on this game unfortunately
Essentially PC>PS4>XB1.
That was what I expected.
Anyways I'm glad to hear that the framerate is great in this game. Kind of dissapointed in the visuals but the games really fun which is what matters the most.
P.S Looks like Eurogamer proved KNWS wrong. I knew he was wrong with what he was saying about how tiled resources would improve the quality of the megatextures.
