Glorkian Warrior: Trials of Glork screams at you with character and charisma. What on the surface appears to be a kid’s cartoon mobile game, actually turns out to be an action-packed shoot ‘em up filled with waves of enemy aliens. The game will remind veteran gamers of the early 1981 game, ‘Galaga’. I like to refer to this as a ‘Galaga on Red Bull’. You’ll see why in a moment.
For Pixeljam Games, the nostalgia of the classic arcade alien-shooter is bedded in its simplicity. Glorkian Warrior: The Trials of Glork for iOS (later Android) evokes the same childlike wonder you may have felt playing Galaga and Space Invaders, but it’s not the same experience by any stretch.
