Beavers.it have conducted an interview with Brett Gale, the founder and CEO of Playhouse Entertainment, about the upcoming ID@Xbox hybrid Kinect 2 game The Manifeste, which he thinks will be “perfect for hardcore gamers”. Here are some excerpts from the interview related to the Xbox One version including how Microsoft’s short-sighted decision to release a Kinect-less Xbox One SKU has led to including a joypad-only option and explaining some of the game’s motion-controlled gameplay:
In this interview, Brett Gale (CEO and Founder of PlayHouse Entertainment inc.) talks about The Manifeste, sharing new info and details on gameplay, motion controls and VR. Enjoy!
The Manifeste is a thrilling new video game based on one of the most significant events in Canadian history, the October Crisis.
A historic crime drama that merges investigative exploration and clever problem solving, The Manifeste utilizes innovative controls and interactive storytelling to transport players to a terror stricken 1960s Montréal.
The Manifeste is a first and third person experience, currently in development for next-gen consoles and PC, targeted towards adult gamers looking for mature, story-driven experience, featuring inventive gameplay.

Interesting. Waiting to hear more details on this.
This game sounds really awesome. Can't wait to see more about it. Wonder if the developer's motion controller peripheral will be used with it?
The PlayStation Move’s motion tracking may be accurate, but it clearly has problems that have stifled its success. In our previous article on Playhouse Entertainment’s promising (if not wishful) DualPLAY peripheral, many of our readers expressed a specific interest in the accessory – in contrast to existing motion controlled offerings.
So, we spoke with Playhouse Entertainment’s CEO, Brett Gale, and scrutinized him on all things motion, and why you should pay attention to Playhouse’s promising potential product.
Great stuff for fps, dual analogs + free aim movement on screen! But being that bulky, would only be more tiresome to play more than 1h straight. If it´s going to be that way, better wait for Sony do something slimmer, lighter and less "lollypoppy".
This looks frickin awesome!!! Exactly what i hoped move to be. They should work with Sony to make a dual play package.
Seems really immersive.
Sounds like Mogwai...
I feel MS screwed a lot of devs over by taking Kinect out of the box.
This game is high up on my most anticipated. The dev hasn't shown much of it yet but it sounds like it's going to be pretty damn awesome after seeing their tech demos on youtube and what they've revealed about it so far.
Looks like first and third person gameplay, which I'm always a huge fan of. And I love how I'm not forced to always use motion controls, even though I probably will use them most of the time because they look like they'll be a lot of fun in this game.
Can't wait to see more!
"Perfect for Hardcore Gamers"
Yeah... I'm not falling for that again
