Ex-employee details Doom 4 development issues, trouble brewing inside id

It’s very strange, but this information comes to gamingenthusiast.net by way of Glassdoor, apparently from a very disgruntled ex-employee took out their frustrations on id with a review on the site.

Glassdoor was conceived of as a place for former and current employees to review companies and bosses, in terms of salary, culture, etc, and to do so anonymously. The website has a vetting process that ensures everyone who writes a review there is who they say they are. Not that this was needed, but superannuation also chimed in to reassure fans that Glassdoor is legit.

Yeah i agree, this is really sad news if true. Doom has always been one of those special games ever since i played the first one back in school. Ill keep my fingers crossed for ID, i really dont want this franchise to die.

Unfortunately it's been that way at i.d for some time now.. honestly when Todd Hollenshead left last summer, people should've taken notice.. but when John Carmack left in November last year.. well, the writing was on the wall.

That company is a shell of it's former self. I honestly don't see ZeniMax keeping i.d open for too much longer.

ID software ? How can anyone claim it's still alive when pretty much all key figures are gone , and when they can't even bother unleashed an actually good quake in this golden era of online multiplayer ?

Sure, some companies have probs from time to time but I'd say it's still on the way.
I loved doom 3, well all of them actually. & if i'm not mistaken, sold really well.
You could'nt trow a franchise away as big as this surely?????

So i guess we will not see a sequel to RAGE? also TIM WILLITS made some great DOOM 2 levels, and was there for the development of the original QUAKE games. I know a lot of people did not like RAGE but most REVIEWERS did say it had the best FPS mechanics for 7th gen games! I think they should combine ID SOFTWARE with MACHINE GAMES! I think combined they would make a great development team ! RAGE did sell almost three million copies ! That is a great number for a new IP! And i loved the competitive MP and CO-OP for RAGE!
