PS4 Exclusive ‘Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture’ Described as “Beautiful”, E3 Presence Not Determined

OnlySP: Details are slim on the PS4 exclusive, Everybody’s Gone to Rapture, but according to The Chinese Room, the game is looking quite beautiful on CryEngine 3.

Most wanted indie game after RIME and No Man's Sky. I hope all of them will be at E3.

I've said it before, but I'm placing my bets on RIME being this year's Journey. I'll probably write up a piece on that this week sometime.

ZodTheRipper4050d ago

RIME is without a question a next-gen Journey ;)
That's the first think I thought when watching the trailer.
BUt you shouldn't place your bets on a release this year, I'm expecting Q1/Q2 2015.

Themba764050d ago

one of the premier indie titles.

I remember getting somewhat excited after seeing this before the ps4 released. I just wish they would release some screenshots and info about the game. So far, we know who is making the game, and the title.. Let's hope for some e3 info.

Am I right in thinking 'The Chinese Room' is collaborating with 'That Game Company' on this one??

WeAreLegion4050d ago (Edited 4050d ago )

I believe it's just The Chinese Room. (With help from Sony Santa Monica. They tend to help indies a lot.)

Wingsfan244050d ago

Yup just Chinese Room, TGC has no involvement.

I didnt realize this was going to be a graphics showcase

5 great video games set in the UK

David at SQUAD writes: "Over the past few months, I’ve found myself lost in a number of books set in my home-land of the United Kingdom. At first, it was by chance, but then I found myself seeking them out. Then I got some games in a few sales -- Assassins Creed: Syndicate and Vampyr, if you must know -- and realized I’d done it again. This got me thinking: does the video game industry do a good enough job of setting games in a diverse set of locations, and how many games are set in the UK anyway?"

Ubisoft's Zombi was set in London I believe.

geekmandem1815d ago

Yep, ZombiU was indeed. A game I actually saw recommended a few times. It's weird that it stuck with so many people.

Dying Light, Crysis 3, Battlefield 4 & Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture with Ray Tracing

DSOGaming writes: "These past few weeks we’ve been showcasing numerous games that were visually improved by Pascal Gilcher’s ray traced Global Illumination method/solution for ReShade. And today, since it’s a slow news day, we are bringing you four games that have been showcased with this alpha Reshade version. These games are Dying Light, Crysis 3, Battlefield 4 and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture."

Again Reshade is not Raytracing, is a screen space post processing effect. Thats like calling SSAO "Global Illumination"
