A Case of Perfection- Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure Review I Hey Poor Player

HeyPoorPlayer's Francis DiPersio writes " Adventure fans, rejoice! After taking an extended 16 year hiatus from cracking some of the hardest cases in New San Francisco, Tex Murphy is back. Last seen in 1998′s Tex Murphy: Overseer, the trenchcoat-clad star of the classic adventures Under a Killing Moon and The Pandora Directive had seemingly disappeared into the shadows after developer Access Studios was purchased by Microsoft way back in 1998. Now, with the recent resurgence of the point-and-click adventure genre, Big Finish Games, headed by series creators Chris Jones and Aaron Conners, have given the snarky P.I. a new lease on life with Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure. Does this crowd-funded caper serve as a bold return to form for the beloved sleuth, or was the world’s unluckiest gumshoe better off left in the annals of adventure gaming history?"

I love Tex Murphy series! Been waiting for this one since 1998! I played the demo and I can say that the game stayed true to its roots. It's like playing a mid-90's interactive movie with modernized graphics and UI. Really good and interesting first-person adventure game, with some nice puzzles and interesting story.

I couldn't agree more. It feels like a modernized classic from the golden days of CD-rom gaming. Definitely one of the best reboots I've had the pleasure of experiencing in quite some time.

Tesla Effect Review | PCGamer

"To call it a quality drop is a painful understatement. Drops like this normally require a cliff and a suicide note. An area devoted to a group of Tesla fanatics especially is one of the worst things ever inflicted on the series; The Pandora Directive’s Roswell complex without the tension, but with the tedium stretched out long enough to girdle the world four times." - PCGamer
