I certainly don't envy the marketing team who has to handle this! I find the prospect of morpheus fascinating and if they keep the price below £450 I'll definitely be getting one but I'd hate to attempt to sell this to people who may not be fully knowledgeable on the idea

I think much like any new tech, the early adopters will be us geeks long before the device finds the mass market appeal. Price always matters, but somewhat less so to people who buy new tech just because it's new. I think more important than price, assuming the pricing will not be crushingly outrageous, is that it works and works well, not inducing nausea, vomiting, dizziness, etc. etc. in people. And it would help if it offered new experiences, not just gaming close to your eyes. I could see a huge market with vr in education, travel, exploration, etc. I would love to visit a distant country I will probably never get the opportunity to visit in reality, or explore the ocean depths or space from the comforts of my favorite recliner. How cool would it be to get to take an African Safari adventure that doesn't cost $10,000? In fact, I see those uses being much more effective than the gaming aspect of vr.

Never really thought of it like that, you make some excellent points.

crazyCoconuts28d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
