Stab in the dark here...Mordor?

Just spit-balling, but wouldn't it be cool to see all of middle-earth done in an open-world game. Still waiting for that, even though it would probably be expansive, like Witcher 3 expansive.

I was thinking the same thing CG!!

Not an online game though, something like Skyrim but set in Middle Earth. MMOs eat up too much time.

Lotro had its glory days. Man I miss that game. Seriously though, middle earth needs more video game attention. It's more than ripe for ideas and deep lore-filled games. I dream of getting to play a rich open world middle earth sandbox game one day made by a worthy developer. Can't wait for shadow or mordor

Mordor and deep Mordor...

All games must have a sewer level, so there's one location.

You mean "Monolith, renowned developer of one really good FEAR game and two pretty crappy ones,"?

levian1660d ago

Not sure, but is Monolith the same as Monolith Soft, or is that a branch of Monolith? Because looking up Monolith Soft's developed games, they have an impressive history, if shorter than some others.

Xenoblade Chronicles, X (upcoming sequel to Xenoblade), Smash Bros Brawl, Zelda: Skyward Sword, Pikmen 3, Zelda: A link between worlds, and Animal Crossing New Leaf.

They're a different company. Monolith Soft has a very promising future. Xenoblade Chronicles was incredible! Easily one of the best JRPGs of last generation.

Oh, looking at Monolith's game's list is... Less impressive. I don't really see any game's I've heard much about aside from FEAR...

Well, Shadow's of Mordor looks promising, let's hope that it's a bit of a step up from the rest. Knowing their history now though, I think I may wait for post-release reviews and watch some actual gameplay before buying.

And totally agree with Xenoblade! The sequel X is literally the single reason I bought a Wii U near launch and have held it this entire time, despite only owning one game for it.

Really looking forward to this game, looks great!

Want to see some more of this game. I would also like a LOTR RPG. I had one for PS2 that was pretty fun.
