Nathaniel Liles writes: "It’s no spoiler when I tell you that your sister dies at the very beginning of the story, and the opening sequence of the demo is just that. You find your sister, held up off the ground by a series of spears that’ve run her through as part of some elaborate trap, and try as you might to save her, she dies. The one piece of artwork in this sequence is very well done and detailed, with the character being minimally animated as the scene plays out. It was a nice effect, and it really sold the moment."
Today visual novel publisher Sekai Project was in attendance at Sakuracon and they made quite a few announcements related to their upcoming games.
Sekai Project announced that the Kwan developed adventure visual novel Exogenesis ~Perils of Rebirth~ will launch on Steam Early Access tomorrow.
Joanna Mueller writes: "First a little perspective. Exogenesis: Perils Of Rebirth surpassed its 2014 Kickstarter funding goal, raising more than $56K. Since then Kwan’s post-apocalyptic visual novel has suffered setbacks and production issues. As is often the case when developers are facing problems, backer updates were few and far between as the years wore on."
