Sure they're fun, but are video games art?

Years before his death, film critic Roger Ebert stood out on a limb claiming that video games were not "art."

He made comments like "you can win a game.... A story, novel, play, dance or film - those are things you cannot win; you can only experience them." Most gamers would disagree with his statements, and now that we are seeing a growth at the university level supporting game development, it's more clear they are often considered interactive movies.
