Group Test: Firefox 3 vs IE 7 vs Safari 3.1

gadget zone has compared Firefox 3 RC1 to Internet Explorer 7 and Safari 3.1 and reviewed each one. Without wanting to spoil the ending, they are tested in real world situations and each one has been given a rating out of five. It could possibly have gone into a bit more detail but for an overall look at all three side by side I think it does the job.

i still use ie7, but firefox gets me a nicer experience. i have safari and i'm interested in its design, but i dislike apple software in general. i have a zune, and consider it MUCH better and more sophisticated than the iPod, which only looks good if you get Touch. however, i'd buy a macbook AIR if i could. because a 17" notebook pc isn't as portable as i would've liked.

given how battery life is precious, skip the slower ie7 and go with firefox to avoid the hassle of page refreshes and load times.

I pretty much love the new location bar. I'd rather use a mouse then a touch pad, but I don't have that option on my well traveled laptop. I like cutting down on using the touch pad and regulating my focus on the keyboard, and the new location bar helps me with that.

Also, slightly off topic, I heard one blog call it an "awesome bar" once. Can't remember where though, so don't quote me on it.
