EGMR writes: "In this episode we discuss the growing trend of ‘definitive editions’, after the recent announcement of The Last Of Us Remastered for PS4. Issues regarding pricing and content are explored, and ultimately it is debated whether they should be encouraged going forward."

Najam from eXputer writes "It's time fore a new installment in the series, not another pointless remaster."
They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.
The team is sad for losing out on such a great project but celebrates its growth because of spending time on it.
All they had to do was make a basic online mode like their previous games. Instead they wanted more money and choose to go live service which makes games worse in my opinion.
What a waste of time and money, what a shame.
Not sure why they didn’t just make Factions 2. There was no need to make it a live service.
TLoU Factions was a great addition such a shame they couldn’t be bothered to remaster that for PS5 considering the crazy high price tag of the remaster of a remaster…
This is something to be celebrated. This studio is smart and they get it, even factions 2 wouldn't've have been worth the time. I am surprised they didn't just remaster the first one though, but actually how popular was Factions?
The main issue is the price. You need to understand that people bought TLOU on the PS3 and a good amount of them are going to have opinions about this. They surely spent 60 dollars already and are probably looking forward for the remastered edition, but are they willing to pay another 60 dollars? Most won't. You can't just say you are targeting newcomers and disregard your previous customers. The reason why this remastered edition is even happening is all thanks to those who supported the game in the first place. I'm pretty disappointed at ND and other companies.
No one is forcing people to buy the remastered games. If they stop selling, they will stop being released. Simple as that.
Its not like your ps3 is gonna break now because tlou remaster is coming out.
I will happily buy this game again. If you don't want to spend 60.- then just wait tillthe price comes down.
Where's Dragonknight?
Why all the hoopla over a port? No one is being forced to buy any of these games. If there was no demand for a game to be ported to the ps4, no one would do it. I agree that those who have the digital download should have the upgrade option for 10 to 20 bucks, as for everyone else, if you think the game costs too much, DON'T BUY IT. MGS sure as hell ain't worth 30 to 40 dollars, so I didn't buy it. It's just that simple. Exercise your right to choose and stop whining.
