The visuals, especially the attention to detail is ridiculous. Imo, this is the best looking next gen gamne...and open world too.....Sucker Punch really set the bar here.

I knew ISS looked good, but being able to pause everything just makes everything look better. Been playing around with it here and there as well. Doing drops and pausing is awesome as well.

Too bad we can't play around w/ the overdrive skills (I bet you guys can tell I've been playing FFX... "overdive") since it locks the camera

Also, I hate to be "that" guy, but did anyone test if you can skip cut-scenes now? I haven't really progressed in the story to try it myself just yet. I'm just screwing around in my post-game of my evil run.

Crazy thing is, this is a launch window game and it looks bloddy amazing, imagine when Sony start to increase the API's performance and devs start to truly utilize the SDK in a couple if years.

The photo mode is crazy addicting, I literally spent 3 and a half hours last night playing around with it... seriously, 3 and a half hours just using the photo mode, not even really playing the game! (except to try and get a good shot).

The amount of tweaking that can be done is surprising, and the DOF is incredibly fun to try and master (took me a little while to figure out how it works, but I got the jist of it now.) I got a couple shots that are really neat looking!

The USB export feature cannot come soon enough! Cause let's face it, places like Twitter butcher the pictures via compression. An example of one I took that looks way better in-game: http://i.imgur.com/APdceNf....

SP opened a can of worms with this mode, now every next-gen game that doesn't have something like this will feel like it's lacking a critical must-have feature. This is a lot like how COD changed the FPS online world forever, and in the same manner SP have changed console single-player games forever with this photo mode.

It's win-win for developers, cause it is basically free advertising and another way to show off the game, by letting the players take these amazing shots and post them all over the net.

Kind of funny, people believed that Titanfall was going to revolutionize gaming, but it was actually Infamous:SS that pulled that off. Not surprising though, anybody who has been with Sony knows that their first-party devs always take things to a whole new level.

I gave you an agree because that is very impressive. But to get that level of detail @1080/30fps(stable) will run you well north of $400.00. I also know that Crytek has more than 80 employees on staff.

It's stupid compare locked in hardware (consoles) to PC (unlocked). Had they been able to achieve this on Xbox One with Ryse, then I would have been impressed. Taking something unlimited and making a game look good doesn't take skill (50gb Titanfall PC). Getting the most out of limited hardware speaks volumes to me about the developer. What do you think Sucker Punch would be able to achieve if they had unlocked hardware too?

If Infamous:SS was on PC and allowed to "go all the way" you can bet your arse it would be BY FAR the best looking game created to-date. It would put Crysis to shame... and Crysis is an FPS on-rails game (vs open-world TPS).

But the fact is Infamous:SS is only on a console, and it is a console that PC elitists deem "unworthy, last-last-gen hardware". Yet it gives even the best looking PC games a run for their money while running on the supposed "archaic console hardware" at 1080p.

I've played and it looks great but there are better looking games out there. Skyrim with the right mods, crysis 3, farcry 3 and metro last light have greater details on many level imo.

Tho, infamous nails the particle effects I'll give it that.

Thats an insane amount of detail. In my opinion its the best looking console game to date and in full 1080P with an extremely good framerate. No dipping into the teens with this title.

There's tons of compression in shots sent to Facebook. Here's how you get them without any compression.

- Have a second account at the ready, or a friend’s PSN.

- Send a message with your desired screenshot attached via the PS4 messaging service to the account.

- Download the PlayStation App for your phone.

- Open up the application, log into your PSN, and check out the message that you sent.

- Open the attachment on your phone.

- Now you can save the full-resolution screenshot to your memory and use in whatever capacity you wish.

Still it is impressive that they added this in and the way people are using it. I cannot wait to see how people use Share Factory when that get's released.

The first thing I thought when I saw the photo mode was making gifs with some really cool bullet time pans, matrix style. These are great.

But can someone tell me, are these simply created from the capture video? Meaning they're not full rez and not even showing the insane detail you have when you're playing it yourself?

Let you create gifs directly from gameplay
Let you sets the quality level for gifs, screens and video, meaning anything from 480p to 1080p.
And let you dump it all on a harddrive so you can easily share this stuff without losing quality.

I know that last one is coming, the others need to happen too.

Finally, this photomode has taken on a life of its own, it needs to be a standard feature in all Sony games and even do a cinema mode like halo 3 had. Imagine that detail and free roaming camera.

The problem with GIFs is they are severely limited in color spectrum though (256 to be exact). There are methods around the 256 color limitation (because each frame doesn't have to have the same 256 color palette), BUT this dramatically increases the file size due to the extra information.

The HTML5 standard allows for higher quality alternatives to GIF that also don't increase in file size exponentially. Unfortunately IE is still pretty heavily used and a majority of the versions of it still in use have little to no HTML5 support hence the slow transition to HTML5 as the de facto standard.

I'd rather people take the uncompressed screen caps and stitch them together using a format that doesn't sacrifice one iota of quality.

Hopefully Sony opening up use of USB flash and hard drives (rumored to be part of the upcoming update) to export screen caps and videos will allow for all of this.
