Tales of Hearts confirmed for North America, will be a GameStop exclusive

Tales of Hearts will indeed be making its way to North America. A listing discovered on GameStop reveals that Bandai Namco's RPG is due out later this year, and it will be exclusive to the retailer.

I worked at gamestop during the xenoblades debacle. I found it to be very experimental as they blew up the USED price to $90usd by SHORTING the supply themselves.

Then, during holiday 2013 they sent every store 15+ "preowned" copies to sell. They were actually just new copies converted to preowned that had been sitting in a warehouse for god knows how long.

They had the supply, but they made it scarce purposefully to create a higher demand.

I don't work there anymore, and I WILL NEVER shop there again because of many reasons.

Sony requires that every Vita (and PS4, IIRC) game be sold on PSN digitally.

Yes, just like 100% of Vita games. Sony requires it. What's more, they don't allow publishers to stagger the digital release (like Nintendo did with Wind Waker) so digital release is always same day as physical.

Why has everyone forgotten this? It was one of Sony's main talking points for the Vita's launch.

Good job Shahid & Adam for making this a reality! It may also be that Bamco saw the success of Xillia, Xillia 2 (preorders) & the sales of Symphonia Chronicles that convinced them to bring this game over.

The Vita is beginning to see its true potential ever so slowly & that it is a very good portable handheld.

But that awkward moment when Namco didn't localize the DS game which was a successful platform by a miles ahead but localize the Vita version. Namco the king of doing this. They did it with Grace.

Just because a system has more sales, doesn't mean games will automatically get better sales on that system.

With regards to Grances, the PS3 was the only 7th gen home console where JRPGs found widespread success.

As for Hearts, I don't think they where planing to release it on any platform, we probably are only getting it because either Sony, gamestop, or both helped fund localization of said game.

You also seem to be conveniently forgetting that ToS: Dawn of the New world on the Wii, nearly killed the entire franchise in the west. Graces F on the other hand saved it.

Tales of Destiny director's cut, Tales of Destiny 2, and Tales of Rebirth released for PS2, the most successfull console in this universe, miles ahead than GC and Wii. But Namdai doesn't localize those title. So please, take off your nintendo fanboy glasses for a while will you?

Purely subjective, fanboy subjective i might add. Xenoblade is amazing but i don't think it's better than Ni no Kuni, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, or Tales of Xillia. Not to mention PS3 still have Persona 5 and Tales of Zestiria for next year, when Wii have NONE.
