Awesome, i was worried it would just be about killing zombies, but it sounds pretty comprehensive from what we know so far. I'm glad we will finally have something like this to play on the PS4, it's in need of an MMO sandbox survival game akin to State of Decay/DayZ.

Although, i really do hope they mean it when they say it won't be pay to win. That would be a big turn off for me.

This sounds like DayZ, but we will have to see how it is executed. Aside from the world, it seems like it has everything DayZ has, but more. I would still want to see DayZ on PS4 though.

I've seen videos of this game on a thread over at ign it looks like it runs pretty slick and I've seen a lot more zombies in that little preview then I have looking at the dayz let's play videos , did I mention they had a jeep it looked like fun

This may have the best from Rust, and DayZ running on the same engine (Forgelight) from Planetside 2 which can run huge maps and support up to 2000 players in one server.

Sounds like DayZ but hopefully will actually be a polished game that doesn't feel like some cheap mod. The idea behind DayZ is amazing, but it's an idea thats just waiting to be executed properly. This could be that game.

I'm really digging what I'm seeing right now. I just hope it comes to ps4 in 4-6 weeks yet that's not likely (still waiting on War Thunder btw sony). Almost bought Day Z until I saw it was 50 per server and buggy. When I was a kid (like 5-10 years ago (14-19)) I'd be playing DayZ constantly. But now I have the infamous "real job", wife, kids, and my play time is only a fraction of what it used to be. If I get something I need to make sure it 'works' and won't frustrate me because as passionate as I am about gaming, I unfortunately have 2 hours per night max to get my game on. It sucks... But at least now I have the money to buy whatever game I want! lol

This sounds like the kind of zombie game I've wanted. Not just run around slashing zombies but actually build and mod things and shelters and more like a what if a zombie outbreak really happened. Sounds pretty cool and will put this on my radar. I hope the free to play doesn't have low level caps and subscription fees but more of a micro transaction so you can choose to pay for what you want. Like if you want to build a shelter you get a basic shack with crappy wooden fences free but chain link fences might cost you.

Yet ANOTHER Free-for-All, Kill-on-Sight Survival MMO.
For all his talk about taking the genre to the next level...I just don't see it. It doesn't do anything that DayZ and Rust don't do already. In fact, I have 1/2 dozen games just like this already installed on my PC.
The only thing that will differentiate this title will be the fact that it's the only one of it's kind on consoles.

day z is a piece of mod crap this is from the makers of everquest and planetside 2 you should be excited. to me it sounds like soe have just announced my favourite game on ps4. state of decay sounds good but this game is the game ive had in my head since day z's announcement

State of decay was pretty annoying , you get to go around and do what you want BUT you get calls so often to go save someone from your base that you don't really get much free time AND if you don't save them they usually die so you are kinda forced to save them or lose them for ever. Hopefully th is new game is nothing like that.

I am sure it will come to PS4. They clearly said if your PC can run PS2 then it can run this even better, so I suspect it's gonna come to the PS4 just cause of better optimization it has going fo rit.

Remember the following facts:
-This runs on the same engine as Planetside 2
-They are finishing up the Planetside 2 port for the PS4, and it's looking awesome
-When asked about H1Z1 required system specs, they said that if your PC can run Planetside 2, it will be more than enough to run this

Put it all together, and it's pretty clear that bringing this over to PS4 (or the One if they were so inclined) will probably be rather trivial.

Graphics aren't everything, especially when the game needs to handle potentially hundreds of other players in close proximity.

But I wouldn't expect much understanding from the guy who thinks that wattage is the best way to benchmark the graphics capabilities of a system...

This looks to already have everything DayZ Standalone is promising to have later on. I'm in if it is as good as it sounds. I'll likely pick it up on Steam when it comes out soon, but I think I'll grab it on ps4 as well, because why not, it's free. I already have several games like this on my pc, so it will be nice to have something on the ps4 to play with my friends that play their games on that particular platform.
