Genesis RPG: The Game That Oughtta Be

i'm an atheist too, and i would still love more games based in Christian, Islamic, and Hindu mythology. Greek, Norse, and Roman mythologies are awesome, but they seem to be the only ones people go to nowadays for storytelling or influence based in mythology.

i think part of the problem, though, is that since people still believe in the former ones i listed, people aren't as prepared to make games based on them as they are based on ones that everybody accepts as mythology (like the Greek stuff). just look what happened with the Noah movie. some people are whining that a fantasy movie based on a fantasy isn't as accurate as the fantasy they believe in. but for the people who don't believe in the stuff and go into it knowing it's likely a fantasy, the experience can be enjoyable.

bible is the poison in the gaming industry, make a game around it or relative to it and watch your company burn to the ground.

A bible game would sell VERY WELL if someone could implement it just right. If a game company COULD make a decent bible game, they would make tons of money from it. There are millions and millions of Christians.

Not to mention that if ANYONE would attack a company that made a game from bible stories and got attacked for doing it by secular sources, like the news, they would get sympathy from the public and get supported, much like Chic-Fila did.

Dante's Inferno was a PERFECT game for using the bible references, like Satan of course. The Diablo series is another game that references bible names and such, like heaven and the angels.

I'm not sure how they would make a Genesis game, but if I can't bash it, shoot it, or jump on it I don't want to play it. Heh.
