Top 10 Games on the Nintendo 3DS, So Far

GotGame: (J. Weinblatt) - As with any top ten list, this simply reflects the view of the author (me) and is not meant to be a universally accepted list. I have yet to play every 3DS game. Most notably I haven’t played A Link Between Worlds. Remakes and eShop only titles are not included in this list.

I know you wrote you haven't played The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, but if it was my list, it'd be top-3.

For me Kid Icarus would be perfect if we could use the Circle Pad Pro as a substitute for the touchscreen camera controls.

JustinWeinblatt4064d ago

I have to disagree with that. The touchscreen offers a level of precision that is simply not possible with an analog stick. The camera controls definitely take some getting used to, but I feel like they're far superior to analog controls. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that the next Call of Duty switches to touch screen controls, but in this particular game, analog controls just wouldn't have worked.

Nerdmaster4064d ago

The precision might suffer, but the way it is, my hands suffer more. So for me it would be a fair exchange. To make things worse, I bought a used game without the stand, so my hands hurt even more than it should.

It's still a wonderful game, but I wouldn't mind losing some precision for a "less hurtful" experience.

You just can't keep up with the speed then. Kid Icarus Uprising is a ground-rail shooter that relies on precision not camera.

JustinWeinblatt4064d ago

Different folks are different, but personally I never had any problems with my hand.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory4064d ago (Edited 4064d ago )

My Top 10 are:
1. Fire Emblem Awakening
2. Kid Icarus Uprising
3. The Legend of Zelda A Liink Between Worlds
4. Senran Kagura Burst
5. Pokemon Y
6. Super Mario 3D Land
7. Shin Megami Tensei IV
8. Mario & Luigi Dream Team
9. Etrian Odyssey IV Legend of the Titan
10. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

Should be a top 20 these days pilotwings was fantastic for a launch game kid icarus is amazing, resident evil revelations is the best resi in years hard to choose just 10 with all the eshop content available as well ;) had mine since launch and absolutely love it, got all my ambassador games still and plenty more besides, one of the best console line ups out there and what a then around from launch period.

JustinWeinblatt4064d ago

Pilotwings was really underrated. Would have been 11 if I did a top 20. It was overpriced at 40 bucks, but if you can get it for $20 or less it's an absolute steal.

RosweeSon4064d ago (Edited 4064d ago )

*turn around, but yeah pilot wings wasn't worth full asking price but now days should be a bargain, still wish they would add the island on from the N64 days as DLC id happily pay for that.

I love the dynamic of Nate and Sam in Uncharted 4. Nate has given up the treasure hunting life for Elena, he just loves her that much despite living his whole life off the thrill of his adventures. But then Sam came back and made Nate "temporarily" forgot who he is to become who he was. That scene where Elena found out was one of the best scene in Uncharted imo.
