Different people working on each game, and the current gen AC was in dev for three years. If they were to only work on current-gen (which is what we want); they won't make enough money, since they are skipping last gen which is the only one owned by a lot of AC players.

Unity has been in development for 3 years by a team as big as the one that did Black Flag, which was an excellent game.

They've explained the process already, you should look into it if you have doubts. Each game has a dedicated team -- and a large one at that.

They did this with Call of Duty 2 for 360 and PC with last gen getting big Red One. That is why games should of been when releasing on all platforms. Give us two different versions for next and last gen that should of been the standard.

If that were the case I would likely invest in both versions. I think that's the case with many cross-gen gamers.

That's exactly the mindset Ubisoft is hoping to capitalize on, and if both Unity and whatever the other game is are good, it will probably work for them. I know I'll pick up the ps4 version first, then the last gen one for either my 360 or ps3.

I wish I could get excited but now I have a wait-until release view to about Ubisoft, they will advertise fake graphics to fill pre-orders then deliver a quarter of the graphical promise.

After the disappointment that was Black Flag, I am tired of this franchise. Heck I got bored 3/4 of the way in AC2. Strangely, even though 1 is more repetitive, it had better main missions and story that the repetition didn't bother me and I enjoyed the game more than 2. Black Flag was just all over the place and is clearly and old game. The mechanics and combat just feel outdated, and the enemy AI is a joke.

This series needs to sleep for like 5 or 10 years then come back with a big bang.
