I've confirmed it to be true, and that its coming on a couple of occasions. Theres an awful lot of reports now too..

I've worked on two games now that are intended solely for the 360 motion controller. The first one was delievered at the end of last year - the second is still in development, and awaiting approval. I had no idea what the controller looked like though....

I'm predicting this will fail. Msoft doesn't have the games to back this motion controller up and people are looking into motion controllers are making wii games. All this can mean is 360 might get some of wii's games but its not like wii 3rd party games are much to boast about anyway.

IMO they should have just gone with a motion controller add on sort of like sixaxis that way ps3 and 360 controller are on a more even plain where motion sensing isn't cumpolsory but its an option

Wel uhm... All those many Wii games can be ported easily because the power of the 360 compared to that weak supercharged Gamecube. So all 3rd party minigame stuff etc. can be ported in no time. Extra potential to earn bucks for those 3rd party devs that are making those bad games, but still sell to kids.

The problem is MS has 18,000,000 360 owners that don't have one. Nintendo has 25,000,000 Wii owners that do. MS has to convince developers that making a game that supports it will be worth their while AND they will be able to convince the 18,000,000 360 owners to buy one.

Thanx so much but I think ill pass from the 80% vehicle ratio of the game. MS can never come out with anything orginal. That little 'chip' on the Dual Shock 3/ Sixaxis has both tilt and directional velocity sensing. Wii-mote has tilt and position, and requires a sensor bar for positioning. That's why the PS3's motion sensing is more advanced.

But like i said, I prefer the Wii's implementation. I just wish it had calibration settings from the get go, 'cause it seems a bit off when i play Resident Evil.

While the Wiimote does require a sensor bar, I think it's technology is more impressive. The Sixaxis has tilt and velocity, but so does the Wiimote. It also has IR and can determine where it is in space. Does the Sixaxis have depth perception? No.

Ok, so personally I think the image is fake. But, regardless of that, my main question I've always wondered is how it'd connect to your Xbox 360. I doubt a software update would give the 360 the ability to accept the motion control since there aren't any motion sensors in the machine. So does that mean the controller will come with some sort of sensor bar (ala the Wii as well), except you'll have to "hope" that you have an extra USB available since you're probably all ready eating up the back 2 with your Wifi adapter and who knows what you have in the front?

I will personally laugh if the whole motion controller idea from MS turns out to be true though seeing as how much MS keeps saying that Nintendo is not in their league. I hope the press has a field day with it and maybe then their annoying ass PR's will stfu for once blabbing their mouths off all the time.

Sony's original intent was force feedback WITH motion sensing, and once the lawsuit was settled that's exactly what we got. Unreal Tournament is less than 8 GB because its on PC and (soon) on 360. GTA is less than 8 GB because it's on 360. DVD-9s actually have less space than you think, especially with the security implementations in place for console games.

But hey, if the space is there a lot of developers use it. Resistance 2, Killzone 2, and MGS4 all utilize 50GB discs, and it's definitely paying off. Actually, Kojima is surprised they even fit his game on a 50GB disc.

I have a Wii so now imagine playing Wii type games of the 360's graphics caliber, should be interesting if it can be pulled off. Of course this is not totally new as MS has always had that Controller way back in the 90's.

I want to see a couple of things before I start "judging" the controller being good, bad, etc.

1) I want more than the one image shown. I laugh at all the idiots posting comments about how it sucks already given the one image shown in this article. Nobody can possibly know if this controller is any good at all...we just dont know anything on it yet.

2) What games is this going to be used for? Stupid party games? Or is it going to be used in RTS games? I could see this being a great controller for RTS games....if it works well.

So....lets all just hold off on passing judgment until someone actually has it in hand and can review it.

As for it not being sold initially with the consoles so it wont do well. That argument hold little water with me. Racing wheels weren't sold with the consoles and MS has sold a fair share of those. If the games are good enough...the remote will sell just fine.
