Unfortunately, none of those games I'm excited for. There's no The Phantom Pain. There's no Destiny. There's no Wild Hunt. There's no No Man's Sky...

There's not nothin', man!

ShreddingRuen4102d ago

That's why I had this as an opinion piece, not every gamer is the same. But I tried to stay away from the really obvious choices. Like Destiny and The Witcher 3.

medman4102d ago

There are so many games I'm looking forward to, my personal list is about 30 deep right now, and will grow exponentially after E3 I'm sure.

ShreddingRuen4102d ago

30 deep!? damn! Maybe I should write "Another 10 Games You Should Be Excited For" ha ha!

Nerdmaster4102d ago

@Agent2009
I guess that's why the title says "10 games you SHOULD be excited for", and not "10 games you are already excited for"...

dennett3164102d ago

I wish people would stop with this kind of stuff. Even if not intended to be so, it very much comes off as shilling artificial hype....the industry has enough of that coming from the publishers without the "journalists" doing it as well.
I'll be excited on my own thanks....I don't need other people trying to cheer-lead from the sidelines telling me to get hyped. Call it an opinion piece all you like, the ultimate effect is pushing the advertising of those games on people and trying to browbeat them with how they should be feeling. It's kind of gross.

ShreddingRuen4102d ago

I'm just trying to share with others what games that i'm excited for. I know the hype train is a double-edged sword, but sometimes its fun to hop on for a bit. Especially when it seems the rest of the industry is focused on other games that i'm not really excited about.

Don't think of it as browbeating, think of it as "Hey, did you check out Transistor? You might be interested."

Looking Back At The $386,000 Dying Light 'My Apocalypse Edition', 10 Years Later

Nobody bought it for an obvious reason.

Gamingsince1981113d ago

Wtf did this edition come with ? A real helicopter and a real zombie virus ?

Vithar113d ago

For one lucky person willing to spend $386,000, the My Apocalypse Edition of Dying Light promised a staggering collection. It included the buyer’s face in the game, a human-sized ‘Volatile’ statue, and parkour lessons with a freerunning team. It also came with night vision goggles, an all-expenses paid round trip to Techland’s offices, and four signed copies of the game. Oh, and it also came with a custom-built, ‘zombie-proof’ survival shelter.

LOL but it was a stunt from the team:
‘It was a PR stunt and got a lot of media attention for its wild and over-the-top nature, it was designed to generate buzz around the game’s release. It did a great job of getting the game noticed, though! But nobody purchased it – thankfully, I guess!’

I finally beat DL2 this past weekend. I’ll pick up the Beast for sure.

It got a lot of shit from fans more not being as scary at night on release. I was in that boat. But once I gave it a fair shot I really loved it. The movement was so much more expressive to me. I enjoyed the story too.... for the most part. Was my game of the year when it came out. With all the updates for darker nights and all that, it's even better. I feel almost exactly the same about stalker 2 right now. The erojank games are scratching my itch.
