Ubisoft need to master gameplay before I get interested!

darthv724116d ago

These will sell more than a million and Ubisoft will come up with some other excuse to say they arent interested.

Oh well...their loss.

KendrickLamar4116d ago

Let's just say...

Ubishots were fired

Ashunderfire864116d ago

They already did that with Far Cry 3 and other games.

adventureghost1244116d ago

Well they haven't with assassin's creed that's for sure, Or just about any of their recent games. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if they end up ruining both Watch Dogs and the division at this point.

Geekman4116d ago

Ugh. The controls for Assassins Creed and Rayman need to be SPOT ON PRECISE if you don't wanna die.

sweendog4115d ago

@Geekman
Sorry if I read you comment wrong but you said controls for Assassins Creed and Rayman need to be spot on precise if you dont want to die. I havnt played Rayman but I have Assassins creed. I never died because of controls, in fact I only ever died in sea battles by losing my ship. On land I would stand in the middle of a group and tap circle then square to one hit kill. I never got punished for miss timing. Once all but grunts are dead I would just shoot the grunts. Go play Dark Souls then tell me your controls need to be spot on in assassins creed

ArbitorChief4116d ago

Master gameplay? Only Valve and Nintendo have achieved that.

Let what you just wrote sink in. Disregard your cognitive dissonance for a moment (hard to do I know) and really think about what you just wrote.

ArbitorChief4116d ago (Edited 4116d ago )

Sorry, Valve and Nintendo are the only two companies I know that have continually produced master pieces in terms of "Gameplay" (e.g. Ocarina, Galaxy Series, Metroid Prime, Half Life, Portal, TF2, Counter Strike)

One time hits doesn't make you a master.

NovusTerminus4116d ago

Naughty Dog, Sucked Punch, Capcom Itsuno team (DMC3/4, Dragons Dogma, CvS2), Team Ico, KojiPro, Digital Extremes (Darkness 2, Warframe, Dark Sector), Arc System Works (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena), Tetsuya Nomura, just to name a few.

Valve and Nintendo have released the same game with different paint coats for a while. Not saying their bad, but not the legends everyone claims.

diehardmetallicafan4116d ago

valve are overrated bigtime! they have half life and half life 2 which are great then every other game seems like a mod from them

Ipunchbabiesforfun4115d ago

lord - All you did was post japanese studios mostly haha I wonder what style of game you enjoy?

Baka-akaB4115d ago (Edited 4115d ago )

Not really , he did provide more than japanese studios . And even so is it wrong ? Although i'm not convinced at all with the inclusion of dark sector or his generalisation of Nintendo ... quite a few of those titles achieved a tight gameplay and are considered masterpieces in their respective genre

Ipunchbabiesforfun4115d ago

Where in "You posted mostly japanese studios, I wonder what style of games you enjoy?" did you find any sort of judgment? It was a joke.

Far Cry or Crysis: Predator VR

lelo4116d ago (Edited 4116d ago )

All these comments just prove one thing. Fanboys understand absolutely nothing how a business works.

Outside_ofthe_Box4116d ago

People know how business works, but that doesn't mean you have to like it.

Mystogan4115d ago

This is what's wrong with companies today. Everybody fears taking the risks. Good thing this Gen we're focusing on Indies. Because the big companies are to big of pussies to take the risks.

andrewsqual4115d ago

Funny, they started working on Wii U LONG before it actually hit 1 million sales.

and after it sells 1 million units Ubisoft will be lagging way behind in good games for it thus cementing their B-list status as a publisher when compared to Nintendo, Sony, EA, Activision, Rockstar, etc.

Sometimes you gotta take risk to get ahead.

Seriously several OTHER big time publishers have already started releasing games with Oculus Rift support so it seems as if preperation for the O.R. is worth the small investment.

At least put a small team on it so that your company can gain some first hand knowledge and experience of the Oculus Rift, I'm sure some Ubisoft interns/modders would love to work on this.

XiSasukeUchiha4116d ago

Ubisoft should be careful of you say because it's going to bite you right back in the butt.

christocolus4116d ago

After selling 1m what next? Will we get really great games or shovelware i.e fighters unleashed and its amazing sequel fighters within?

RPG_Lover4116d ago (Edited 4116d ago )

Which if it is priced at 350+ dollars, still has the same VR issues, it won't.

Also apparently the price to develop is astronomical which is why you really are not seeing anything.

Lol, maybe I'm becoming an old fart, but excessive violence in VR seems to bother me more than in flat games. Feels more visceral when you're looking a person in the eyes before mutilating them.

By no means am I trying to be a prude and saying these games shouldn't exist. I just play them more sparingly, need more breaks. I need some beautiful, refreshing & relaxing VR experiences too to balance them out so I don't feel so heavy.

I’m an old fart too. I couldn’t believe how violent saints and sinners was.

IMO, there's two that are better than all these (except maybe Beat Saber), Thrill of the Fight and AUDICA.
