Dark Souls II and 3DS Top Charts This Week, PS4 and PS Vita Tied in Sales

Media Create and Famitsu software and hardware sales from last week have been released today, which will give us a good look into the overall sales of last week’s Japanese market.

Here’s the software charts between March 10rd and March 16th.

3DS has a big next few weeks

So does Vita, Jstars and Neptunia release next week, and the following week Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd releases which will provide a good boost.

Since it is on PS3 too, it wont provide much of a boost at all.

3DS has Mario Party, Retro classic 3, and other exclusives, but I do not think any hardware will jump

Vita seems to be doing a lot better since ps4 launch.

Cross play, remote play and other features that integrate the Vita and PS4 are not only awesome but a serious boost to the Vita.

No, it's because Vita is actually getting games in Japan. America and Europe sales are still quite low.

I certainly find myself playing my Vita a lot more recently, but that has nothing to do with PS4. Remote play is a gimmick, and the input lag can be a real issue, especially withfast-paced stuff like Resogun. (Although I should note that AC4 played very well).

The main reason for more Vita traction these says is, I think, simply the fact that we're FINALLY up to a fairly consistent and acceptable rate of release.
