Bayonetta 1 Heading to the Wii U eShop?

GaminRealm: "Tilmen, also known as NiNTENDOMiNATiON on YouTube, has shed light on a new rumor. According to a tweet h made on Twitter, a known but not necessarily big action game is currently in development for the Wii U and will most likely be for the eShop only."

It's plausible... I hope it's optimised to run at full specs, I played the PS3 version which was deemed as the inferior version to the 360.

wonderfulmonkeyman3692d ago

I own the PS3 version, and I still love it to this day.
I'd gladly double-dip for Bayonetta.

Activemessiah3692d ago (Edited 3692d ago )

Oh I was totally fine with the PS3 version too, I still have it... was thinking of playing it again but if this turns out to be true, I'll definitely get my mitts on this.

That's if Shokio is not making shit up -_-

stragomccloud3692d ago

I wonder if you played it after Sony's extensive patch of the game. The game was basically broken on the PS3 at launch, but the boys at Sony got too work on a patch for the game that fixed pretty much everything. Top them I say, good job!

wonderfulmonkeyman3692d ago

@ Strago

I would assume that I got it after the patch, since I have never encountered any severe problems while playing the game. No freezing or framerate jumping/huge drops or anything detrimental like that.

wonderfulmonkeyman3692d ago

I don't think Shokio is the one who caught wind of this rumor....XD

wonderfulmonkeyman3692d ago

Kamiya already wants it to happen, he just needs Nintendo to say ok.
So the line should be "please, Nintendo!"XD

IRapeLolis3692d ago

The game wasn't that good. Weird how I need more Wii U games but I don't want B2.

BigDuo3692d ago (Edited 3692d ago )

Interesting that it could be Bayonetta 1. Back in late November 2013, Hideki Kamiya stated that he could release the title before Bayonetta 2. So it would take a minimum of half a year to do a port job of it. However, it seems like Nintendo did not approve of the project nor did Platinum start it by the end of 2013. So the game couldn't be coming out by the first half of 2014... unless Kamiya already had it happening and was just toying with us.

WPX3692d ago

Ah you beat me to it, lol.

But true, Kamiya said he could make B1 in time just before 2. As you say, we never heard a word if it was actually being ported(or even if Sega gave them their blessing or if Nintendo foot the bill on that one too), so my guess is as good as anyone's.

But it'd be great for Wii U owners who hasn't played B1 before. Or B2 buyers who are new to the series. And Bayo fans who have a Wii U. And everyone else who likes a VERY fast-paced action game too.

Wii U games that still haven't been ported to Switch

The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga2d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas2d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
