I agree. No one game is going to win it for either console because no gamer wants to spend the entire generation playing one game. Console with best games will win but coincidentally most successful console gets the most attention from game developers so let's not underestimate the effect of heavy sales

every single gen, playstation consoles always bring some of the best games of all time what ever they are exclusives or multiplatform games and i believe this gen won't be any different

Yeah no way PS4 APU going obsolete anytime soon. Not to mention AMD kevari A10 7850k there top of the line retail APU just came out recently and the PS4 does laps around that! Plus with the 8gb gddr5 memory PS4 APU is a Beast!

Xbox APU would be better to if it had faster ram! To bad!

Kind of makes me sad. All Microsoft had to do was go with GDDR5 and the visual quality of XBO titles would have been MUCH better.

I was playing Killzone Shadow Fall last night, and its insane how there's no jaggies or odd visual artifacts. It's so clean that it looks like the CGI movies from Killzone 3. I haven't gotten used to that yet.

Well the 360 is still awesome and was made what like 8 years ago? Games are games. Some of the most popular games are technically terrible to todays standards.

Sony does need to step their game up. Other than Infamous right now their all talk. I'm a Playstation fan and even I can admit that so far Microsoft is winning the games battle. Right now PS4 is selling based off hardware specs, price, and fans alone. The bottom li9ne is the games just aren't there yet.

They have a generic shooter in TF. But i dont really see what else. Multiplats are better on ps4, whivh in my mind gives sony the edge.

You may think TF is generic, but the general consensus is that it's a great game. DR3, Forza, Project Spark, Killer Instict were all well received. As are timed exclusives like Peggle2 and PVZ. And the multiplats, while less pretty, are just as fun as the ps4 versions.

Simply put, at the moment, the games currently available on MS platform are being better received than what's available on ps4. The software attach rate speaks to that. Perhaps that will change as Sony's first party titles start releasing.

Ryse -> Great graphics but awful gameplay = fail

Dead rising 3 -> Normal graphics , fun gameplay = good normal game but it's nothing special.

Forza -> Was promising but got downgraded , less content then before but still fun gameplay = Good game but nothing special too

Titanfall -> It's not exclusive so it doesn't count but even then it's only about fun

What else ?. The other stuff is just talk too ..

That's how i see X1 games. Therefore it's not that great either , at least we are getting real next gen stuff with killzone graphics and Second son. It's just my opinion with few facts (Most of it in my eyes XP).

Say what you will about Xbox One's lineup but PS4 CURRENTLY has nothing special either. I know that will change but right now it is what it is. I'm a PlayStation fan, not a fanboy and I'm not afraid to speak my mind no matter how many dislikes I get or bubbles you guys pop.

The way I see it, killzone great graphics, but nothing special gameplay wise.
infamous: second son, great graphics and gameplay, but really just more of the same with a shinier coat.
Knack: pretty graphics, bad game

Then there a bunch of Last gen PC ports. Nothing to write home about.

You downplay the current 1st party xb1 games, but the general consensus is that they were better than what Sony has delivered so far. You also downplay the significance of Titan fall being on xb1 when folks who don't game on PC won't play that version, and the 360 version is severely downgraded.

To each his own opinion ^^ . I'm not downplaying , it's just the way i see and feel about X1 games right now, i'm jealous that you enjoy them . I prefer PS4 games. And i'm not disagreeing on lack of exclusives . Both are lacking of it because they just got released ..

Hopefully Gears and quantum break turn out the way i want. It would be a good start but i'm only gonna buy X1 when it release at least 15 games that i really want , otherwise it doesn't worth it and i don't trust MS to deliver like Sony...

To me, Resogun is worth the price of admission alone. It's amazingly fun, and knowing the technicalities behind how everything is working on screen just impressed the hell out of me in what Housemarque achieved with it. My only qualm was that it was too short, but it was free.

Otherwise, I am enjoying knack despite being frustrating, but wouldn't call it amazing.

Both systems have games and most of them fall into the "it can wait" category. Overall I definitely could have waited, but I have enough faith in Sony to take the plunge early and not have to play catch up later. The system wasn't so pricey that it broke my bank, and I doubt it'll be cheaper in the next couple years, by which time there will be plenty of games to choose from.

That being said, Infamous is my next purchase because it does look like fun and the series itself is good.

Consoles have a static hardware spec that developers can work around making it easier for games to be optimized, they don't need the most high end hardware for them to last without needing to be upgraded like a PC. We should be happy that this generation of consoles have been developed using x86 architectures so that porting PC games will be allot smoother.

I've said the same thing many times but some people like kingduqc down below just don't seem to be able to grasp that concept. Hell he thinks that the 1.6ghz and things already make it obsolete but I've got a 6 year old gaming pc at 3.4ghz that cant even produce graphics at current ps3 levels. Its one of the reasons I gave up on pc gaming. It costs too much to stay ahead in hardware and to me its way more comfortable to play from the couch with a controller then a mouse and keyboard at a desk.

I agree with you to some extent, however there are thousands of games that a mid-range PC can still play along with new games at mid - high graphics settings. Most games are GPU intensive not CPU so a decent quad core should last for years to come; the GPU is where you want to spend your money on a gaming PC.

I agree with you on the upgrading hardware side of things though that's why I purchased a PS4 so that if any new games come out that my PC can't handle then I can easily just buy them for PS4 instead.

And, X1 games are better recieved? I dont see it that way. Most X1 games are running at a lower rez and a lower fps. I cant see how you could say there being better recieved than the superior ps4 versions, when the whole of he internet is saying different.
