VG247: Ubisoft has said this morning that an Xbox World 360 story claiming Splinter Cell Conviction is "on hold" isn't answerable unless it's come from an official source. Which it hasn't.
"If they've got a Ubisoft source then there's something to be answered there, but if it's just them commenting on something that they've heard, then it's hard for us to make a statement on something that someone's just taken a punt on," said a UK PR rep for the firm.
Microsoft presented a new batch of Xbox 360 games that received Xbox One X enhancements via Xbox One backward compatibility, and here you can watch how they run.
Nothing wrong with more games. As someone who just fundamentally hates xbox, I am pretty jelly that xbox gamers get real BC.
Finally ninja gaiden 2 is BC, I've been waiting on this since they announced BC.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is the main game I wanted bcthen alone one x enchanced is this game is more fun than bloodborne
Amazing news! NG2!?!? Three Splinter Cell games!!! Fable 2&3 (the first is already enhanced)!!! This is what separates Microsoft's version of BC from others...its that they enhance both the performance and visual quality of these titles to keep them current in a lot of cases, instead of playing them exactly how they played and performed back in the day. Whats even better...I don't need to do ANYTHING but download the new patch...amazing.👏
Keep it coming Xbox!
Neil writes: "Every single month we hear the same old thing about the Xbox Games With Gold titles. "We don't want that rubbish - we want decent games, we want AAA blockbusters, we want something different". Well, the free Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles being given away during the month of July pretty much tick those boxes. What's the chances there will still be complaints?"
Tom clancy and virtua fighter are great death sqaured is pretty cool idk about assualt
Great month for 360 titles, X1 titles remind me of early days when all they gave away were indies, I hope they dont start doing that again.
Vf5 fs is the best fighting game of all time abd backwards compatible, so it is a huge win in my book.
No these are pretty awful. Virtua Fighter is great and so is Splinter Cell but those are 360 titles.
Carlos writes: "Xbox Backwards Compatibility has shown a strong start to 2018 with a number of top titles being made available to play on Xbox One, but whilst this week doesn’t bring quite as many new arrivals as the past few weeks, there is still one addition for us to get stuck into once more... and it’s one that’s sure to prove a popular addition."
"new"? an "old" Tom Clancy Adventure can be enjoyed on xbox one due to back capat is worth the return"
*Fixed*
I really doubt they would do that. This is damage control at best. If it wasn't delayed they would say "Splinter Cell Conviction is well deep on development phase and on time to be released" or something like that.
Ubisoft, are you saying it is delayed? or not? I mean....if it isn't delayed then what is the harm in saying that it isn't going "back to the drawing board"?
Surely an official statement can be made asserting that the game isn't being restarted without letting out release timelines.
" unfortunatly we was going to make splinter cell conviction a xbox 360 exclusive but since electronic arts made tons of money on ps3, we are going to wait until the rest of the xbox 360 community backlashes against Microsoft. We want a profitable company to put our games on & besides, I hate the Xbox 360 right now! Since we been developing on the xbox360 we have had every single console die on us. Thats was what started the overall delay. I dont think we can push this console anymore because the xbox360 coughed & screamed at us to stop before they flatlined! So we did & now we are back to the old drawing board."
You heard here first.
Due to the poor hardware, lack of a standard HDD and a last-generation optical disc found exclusively on the Xbox 360, Ubisoft is sorry to inform the public that their vision for the Metal Gear Solid - Assassin's Creed wanna-be will be delayed because of the bottleneck the Xbox 360 has placed on the developers and the fear of the mighty Metal Gear Solid 4 game.
With Assassin's Creed and now Splinter Cell Conviction, Ubisoft have begun to realize that a great game can only be produced utilizing the Cell processor, standard HDD and capacity of the Blu-ray disc only found on the PLAYSTATION© 3.
Ubisoft regrets ever beginning Splinter Cell Conviction slated for a 2007 release due to the contraints of lack of good ideas for the franchise and poor hardware of the Xbox 360.

This story smells of real. We haven't seen anything new from this game for a looong time. The game looks like it plays like a much less open ended combo of Assassin's Creed and GTA4; Or like the Jason Bourne series without Jason Bourne.
Then again its nice to see a developer who specifically decided to deny the PS3 a version of this game fall on their face. Remember not only did they say they weren't making a ps3 version they proceeded to bash the system in the process.
Not taking a fanboy stance on this, but seeing a dev bash a system like that shows how immature this industry is getting.
