Grab It Magazine is reporting that Crysis and Far Cry creator Crytek will release its iOS dual-stick shooter The Collectibles next week.
"Veteran game studio Crytek makes its mobile debut by sticking to what it knows: shooting sprees in the jungle."
David: First there was The Expendables, now there’s The Collectables. Players will have the chance to control a ragtag team of mercenaries and other individuals as they go on a mission. What mission? Does it really matter? What matters is that players can get to experience some strategic action as they complete objectives and ensure that each campaign is a success. There’s a lot of missions to accomplish, plus a lot of content to gain access to. Here’s our complete guide on what to expect throughout the game.
At its best The Collectables is a fast paced action strategy light with a beautifully integrated power-up system, at its worst its like being in line for an amusement park ride with a park employee constantly reminding you that if you give them five dollars they’ll gladly escort you to the front.
As we've come to expect from everything Crytek does, this looks super slick and polished. Love the trailer.
It seemed strange when this was announced, but after watching that I am pretty keen.
I played this and it's horrible. Always-online, IAP up the wazoo, repetitive gameplay, etc.
