Entertainment Buddha's Matt Heywood writes, "In mid-February Sony released the PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset for use with the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and most mobile devices that support 3.5 mm inputs. At $100 it’s more of an entry level headset, but also much cheaper than the previously released Pulse headset from last year. With that being said, the PS Gold Wireless Headset is no slouch, as it offers a robust sounding spectrum of frequencies and the ability to chat with gamers on the PS3 and PS4 without the need for wires."
The Headset Companion App has been updated with a new custom audio profile for Red Dead Redemption 2. The new preset can be used with the PlayStation Platinum Wireless Headset, New PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset, Old PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset and PlayStation Silver Wired Stereo Headset.
wow. just wow. is this to sell headsets along with the games? or something just out of the blue? I'm lost. The game is dope, though,.
Amazon has discounted the New PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset to $72.94.
The Headset Companion App has been updated to version 2.50 to add support for the recently announced new version of the PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset.
Was interested in reading the article, but the website absolutely sucks on mobile. Some stupid ad kept pulling the page down to it.
the one thing I loved (other than being solid headsets) was the fact there was a companion app. Over the years though my biggest complaint has been the lack of games taking advantage of this. I wish Sony would work on getting more developers on board to create the custom audio
There is nothing in there about new games supported at all! Wtf kind of clickbait crap is this?!
Own these and for the 100 dollar price i dont believe you will find a better headset.
I have been waiting for mine to come for a short time AND yesterday they came.
Sat patiently and charged them...
OMG What a difference it makes, BF4 is like a whole new game now that I can hear everything... amazing.
So glad I got these... And so is the cat... no longer does he jump when a Jet flys over via the amplifier.
Of course I hope these last and not break but they seem fine on the build side.
Very light on the head and not a squeeze effect on the head.
Nice that they will work with my other devices.
Although these bad boys have been getting great reviews, I'm still holding out for the "platinum" edition.
In the end , it's even in the same league as the pulse elite . Pretty much the same , only with a redesign , much better battery , and the loss of bass impact , aka the Rumble .
There are tiny aspect that annoy me , but it's mostly nitpicking . The dongle as an example , the one from the elite did have a jack , the gold set's doesnt .
I also prefered the volume slider of the past , to the new volume buttons and their beeping sounds for each press .
Finally i dont see why they ditched the ability to switch freely between five saved EQ mode . Instead now there is a selector between off , 1 and 2 . 2 being the ONE mode where you pick a selected EQ profile .
I can't wait to see the rumored "platinum" version
im hoping for a elite2 or platinum version
