On March 6th Microsoft filed an application to trademark “LXP” that turned out to be the acronym of Leap Experience Pioneers, a new first party development studio based in the US
Guranteed they are the studio doing the "cloud demo" for E3 phil talked about. The question is, will this team make their own games or be used just for first party (and 3rd party) assistance for cloud based projects? . . The name of the group makes it all but a given for me. But maybe I am assuming a bit too quickly, guess we will see.
"LEAP, however, is more nebulous: it's an "incubation team," identified as "the people that developed Kinect and profoundly changed the way people interact with technology." It sounds like some kind of think tank for games -- but one that is making a game right now, as it needs a level designer."
kinect games, hahaha, they have been working for kinect games for years, you guys know how many kinect games have been in developments? Lots! They haven't shown them because of the bad press kinect have had since the reveal of xbone.
MS really seem to be working hard to secure exclusives. THIS is why we need competition! I genuinely hope the xbone performs well so Sony doesn't get complacent.
This is good. Nice to hear they're still expanding their First Party portfolio.
Good viral marketing
It's good that they are expanding their first party. Curious to see what comes out of it.
Sounds like kinect, kinect frogger.
I'd buy it
