While I am happy that PS4 owners are getting something for free via PS+, I still feel like this is just Sony being a little lazy and just rehashing the same game because they have nothing else to fill the void.

I will still get it no doubt, and I never played the PS3 version so it will be a completely new game to me, but I am sure there are some PS4 owners who maybe played the PS3 version and aren't super excited to give this a double dip. Note that I only said some, I am sure there are plenty of PS4 owners ready to give the game a second go.

And therein lies the issue really, as I surmise at the end of the review. It's not worth the entry price if you've dabbled in the PS3 version - there's simply not a whole lot different. But, since it's free on PS+ everyone should give it a go as it's a blast!

I think this is a great way to introduce people to that "Broadcast+" stuff. Also the game is simply great, everyone who hasn't played it yet will probably enjoy it ...and the rest might have missed out on the DLC so I think this is a good game for PS+.

Good games take time to make. why not having good rehashing of great games while we wait?
I've platinum'ed this game on ps3 so this is going to be like my 6 playthrough and I am very happy we are getting it on ps4.

Can't wait to play it tonight with my GF.

I never played the original, but I've heard that the co-op is really fun. I'm gonna have to try this out with my GF today too.

I haven't been exactly blown away by the Psplus PS4 games but we can't expect any AAA games yet

yeah I know, and I am happy we are getting anything at all. Obviously they aren't going to give us full retail games yet, so each month it is going to be an indie game or two.

I'm banking on next month being Daylight.

What do you expect? Killzone? Call of Duty? Battlefield 4? I mean the system just launched a few months ago. Games have to become available before they can just start giving them out for free.

so how long is Sony allowed to feed just indie titles before retail releases are expected? I am new to PS+ as the PS4 is my first Sony console.

I enjoy playing these games (even though I already beat Outlast and played Don't Starve on my PC) and I won't say no to free, just wondering if we are going to see a trend.

@Neonridr well honestly I think 3 months in is a little early to expect them to be giving away AAA titles, as their arent that many. Within the next 3-6 months we are getting a lot of games, I would guess in that relative time frame to get something more than indies. The psn for ps3 has continuously provided a very large number of excellent AAA titles, I would expect that to continue on ps4 as soon as tge games are there.

It's kinda like FEZ being release on PS4 late-March... Are we supposed to be hyped for a 2year old indie titles re-release?

yeah, I am in no way dissing the game or whatever, free is free. It would be one thing if the games the PS4 are getting are brand new just for the console, but Don't Starve, Outlast and Dead Nation are just remakes of existing games.

Maybe April's will be better, again, I am hoping for Daylight.

I played the hell out of this game and even bought the devastation DLC and I'm still excited for the PS4 release. It revitalizes it allowing the multiplayer to be active because it's "new". On top of that it's a great game.

On another note: Wtf is up with there being a "review" of this game out already? Are they really reviewing the PS4 version, did they did to download it early or is this review based off of the 2 hours that they played it since downloading it today? LOL

Just surprised reviews are up when the game wasn't even announced until recently so it had to be a secret. I doubt any reviewers got an early download code for this.

Well theres not exactly a huge catalog of games for ps4 that sony can allow us to have for free yet. System is only like 4 months old. Your not gettin need for speed or assasins creed just yet. So until that time they have to fill the void with smaller older pc games. luckily there still giving pretty good indie games ive never experienced. Better than getting civilization revolution....

Played it and finished it on PS3 and had a blast will be definitely be playing it again!

To be fair I know this is a rehash of an (excellent) older game but PS4 is gaining lots of gamers who may have missed out on PS3 as they have only just jumped ship.

Give it time, I have been with PS Plus from the start and it took time to build momentum. Plus I don't suppose they can give away full titles yet when the machine only released in November. Would almost be a big a slap in the face as Microsoft dropping the price of their console by £100 2.5 months after release!

First major game we will get for free will either be Knack or TR:DE and it wont come until there is a dry month. My guess is 2-3 week of August.

To the people complaining about plus, what the hell did you expect? That within the first 4 months of the consoles lifespan sony was going to give you call of Duty, battlefield, need for speed, and assassin's creed for free? You can't compare ps3 plus to ps4 plus, ps3 has 7 years of games to choose from, ps4 has 4 months.

I really want to play N++, Secret Ponchos, Rime, Hohokum, MERCENARY KINGS, and Samurai Gunn. Sure Dead Nation is free (wish it was before I bought it on ps3) but many people like me have had a ps3 and have played it a lot. I was really hoping it was a sequel though.
