Yes it has cortana but it also has that windows 8 interface... I'm not seeing it.

Yeah some halo fans will pick it up but I seriously doubt it will pry to many core fans of the I phone and Samsung galaxy s series away.

Alan_Shore2175d ago

Who's to say it will be released with that exact windows 8 interface nothing is set in stone yet.

If it were to come with an option that allows it to speak with Jen Taylors voice. I would buy that thing SO HARD!

Mikefizzled2175d ago

Jen Taylor would be a deal breaker for me if I didn't already buy a Lumia 920 over a year ago.

Spurg2176d ago

I got a windows phone...the interface it really good. I get to customise my tiles and have anything relevant in front of me as soon as I open my phone.
Its swiping through the interface it faster than on ios and android.

Bigpappy2175d ago

Sounds like you have a nice Nokia. Those phones are the best I have touched so far.

pandehz2175d ago

I got a Nokia Lumia 1020.

My S4 and Iphones sit at home now.

Mikefizzled2175d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if your camera has to sit at home aswell if you've got a 1020.

Johnny Jiron2175d ago (Edited 2175d ago )

I took a chance with a Lumia several months back. Got the 925. Cheap so that the risk wasn't too much. But damn have I been impressed with it so far. If it weren't for the fact AT&T seems to be the only carrier in which to get one of the better models I'd be pretty deep into MS' line of phones by now. Unfortunately I'm stuck with TMobile for now...who announced they are no longer gonna carry the Lumia line. Bastards...

Suppose I'll have to jump over to another carrier eventually. Just not worth it yet, but the newest WP update and some of the upcoming models may sway me.

Death2175d ago

You can use ant AT&T Nokia on the Tmobile network. You lose the couple Tmobile exclusive apps that are veery easily replacable anyway.

Team_Litt2176d ago

If she calls me Chief, I don't know how I will be able to resist buying one!

pompombrum2175d ago (Edited 2175d ago )

After spending an hour wrestling with my mum's Lumia on Sunday to get her a custom ringtone, I wouldn't move over from my Galaxy S4 even if they paid me to.

EasilyTheBest2175d ago

So here's £1000 give me your Galaxy here's a Nokia Lumia 1520.

pompombrum2175d ago (Edited 2175d ago )

Then I'd just buy another Android phone. The point being, I don't like having annoying limitations on trivial things like ringtones and from my iphone days, I especially hate having to transfer files across using programs. The interface of windows phones is nice enough though, easy to navigate and nice on the eye.

EasilyTheBest2175d ago

I sold my Galaxy on eBay just to get a Windows Phone, I got the Nokia Lumia 1520. Its the best phone I have ever used and also the fastest most fluid. Windows Phone 8.1 will solve virtually all the phones shortcomings from what I have read.
Everyone to their own.
