Studios We Want To See Develop For The PS4

Gary Swaby at The Koalition writes: The launch of the PS4 and Xbox One marked a new chapter in the gaming industry. The legacy of the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii have been strong, and it's a generation we won't forget easily. However, the reality is that we're in a far different gaming industry than we were in 6-7 years ago. The relationships between companies are different, and the strategies of game publishers have changed. More and more we're seeing publishers turn every game into a multi-platform offering to maximize profits.

All game development studios should be working on a game or more for ps4. Ps4 is the best console available today where the name playstation is synonymous with quality and quality is what smart gamers want.

Ps4 is the future and the future is ps4

I really wish I knew where you get your kool-aid from...

With the success of the PS4, a studio would be stupid not to put their game on PS4. The gaming industry is becoming really risky with the amount of studios closing and AAA games missing sales targets

@Abash

Which is why, like rbailey, I see PC gaming becoming more and more prevalent in these coming years. I see a future where we distance ourselves from the traditional AAA release, as will publishers, and into something more in tune with where indie development is at the moment.
Smaller teams, smaller budgets but the quality will be there. Just less risk.
In doing so, it will bring PC gaming to the forefront again, considering an almost zero barrier to entry, let alone what is essentially free advertising on stores such as Steam and even Gamersgate.

What you meant to say is PC is the future. No matter what titles come to the Xbox One or PS4, you best believe that if a PC version is available then that will always be the best version of the game period.

xHeavYx2182d ago

Yeah man, especially with games like God of War, The Last of Us... Oh, wait...

TheRealTedCruz2182d ago

No. Really. I am being serious now.
How much are you paid?

Great overall list of titles. I highly doubt Nintendo will ever warm up to the idea of publishing any of their games on the PS4 or Xbox One. As for Remedy, I could see that happening but hopefully it doesn't. PlayStation has more than enough games already so I don't see why they need to have every game under the sun on their console. There has to be some kinda difference in titles between all three platforms IMO.

You'll find that many on this site claim that competition is good and they they want to see that between the companies.
What you'll find though, however, is that many feel every solid developer should be owned by Sony and every solid exclusive (PC/Xbox/Wii) should find its way onto the PS4 because "it just makes sense because that's where all the gamers are".

It's gonna be hard for Respawn or for the matter any studio ignore the PS4 fanbase. So yea they most likely will develop for it.But there will be exceptions like he mentioned in the article.

On one hand, the large fan base of the PS4 is tempting.

On the other hand, Microsoft has TONS AND TONS of money.

On the third hand?, Microsoft can't just throw money at the Xbox division if predicted profits continue to come up short.
