Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze Review (MasonicGamer)

MasonicGamer: Despite being one of the biggest names in gaming, Donkey Kong usually gets his ass handed to him and is constantly overlooked. The original 1981 arcade classic titled Donkey Kong wasn’t even it’s own game to begin with, it was the result of Nintendo’s attempt to convert unsold Radar Scope arcade cabinets into something that would hopefully be more successful.

As popular as the original Donkey Kong proved to be, it certainly didn’t help Donkey Kong’s reputation that the then named “Jumpman” featured in the game would go on to spawn the most successful gaming franchise of all time with the Mario games. It also didn’t help that Rare would later ret-con Donkey Kong in order to imply that it was Cranky and not Donkey Kong that was actually featured in the 1981 game.

One of the best games I've ever played. Excellent in every category that makes a game a game. The sad thing is that new age "gamers" who're exclusively interested in movie-like games and dudebro shooters will overlook it and eagerly anticipate, hype and play much lower quality games.

If it doesnt look loke an action movie then it not hardcore, its not AAAAA and it doesnt deserve a 10/10
