Bayonetta 2: The One That Got Away.

Ourcade Games - "The gaming industry is littered with interesting stories about the origin of some of our favorite games. Plenty of games we know and love began their life on an entirely different console. Most of the time we aren’t privy to this information, but every once in a while the stories are revealed. One famous example is Final Fantasy 7, which began it’s life on the Nintendo 64. Cartridge limitations prompted the jump to the Playstation, and the rest was history. A Nintendo fan might call FF7 the one that got away. In keeping with that theme, I’m here to discuss a game that will definitely rest in that category for myself. Bayonetta 2."

So looking forward to this. I will be supporting Platinum for their efforts here, hopefully more Wii U owners do the same.

I really wish I could find someone with a Wii U so I could play this game. I'd buy the game and I'd even let them have it after I'm done. It's that serious. If I thought I would play the Wii U after I was done with this I would buy one. But I know I won't and I'm not into throwing money away. Maybe my kids will ask for one down the road.

If you think that you will never find another game on the Wii U that you will play besides Bayonetta 2 then I doubt you game very much. Not saying that is bad, because real life stuff has to come first especially when you have a family to care for, but if that is really what you think then I doubt you are a gamer.

OT: The reason there are exclusives are to make people want a certain console. The amount of people that say I really want to play "Name of Game Here" but it is only on Wii U and people will say this about multiple games and then say they want them for PS4X1. If there are so many games on the system you want maybe you should buy it and stop saying there are no good games on it.

I can't bring myself to buy a system mainly for one game. Sure there might be a few others i'd buy that i'm semi interested in, just not interested in enough to buy an entire console for. Perhaps in a couple years i'll find the system and game really cheap used or something.

I really fear for platinum's success on this one. In order to go with a bigger publisher, they've risked losing their audience that made bayonetta a cult success.

that's so tight fisted

I've got ps vita, ps 3, ps 4, and a MIGHTY PC with steam, and now i've got a Wii U. Due to the fact that i've got so many consoles i've got a really great choice where to buy games, and it's not always a Steam-game choice. There are sometimes better deals at nintendo eshop (physical market at my place is nearly non-existant) so eventually you will find that you ve got planty those games in your WiiU hard drive, just like me.

Although I bought Wii U only for Bayonetta 2? now I've got: Wonderful 101, Trine 2, Monster hunter 3 Ultimate, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, Nano Assault, Art Academy.. Considering buying some Kirby games from old stuff, childish maybe but it's so cuuuute :3

Wish they would give the same amount of love for Wii U as for 3DS

Agreed! I bought a Wii U for this game way before it even had a release date. Though I have a PS4 I will be breaking away from it for two games this year and one is on the PS3. The first game is Dark Souls II which I'm dying to sink my teeth in and beat several times secondly, Bayonetta 2 which is another game I'll be beating several times over. I'm really digging the PS4 and have high hopes for it but, these two games will make me put it on the back burner for a little while at least. Cannot wait for Bayonneta 2!

Agree Also i want to Support nintendo For helping the Game

Shnazzyone2187d ago

I know I'll be buying it. I hope lots of people do too. However this is pretty hardcore Niche. I doubt it will be a day 1 system seller but I think it's definitely a game that will be adding to the value in the wii U. Hopefully the man babies crying about this being nintendo exclusive will breakdown and get a wii U.

AJBACK2FRAG2187d ago (Edited 2187d ago )

Picture a Wii U bundle for Bayonetta 2 the boxart would be nuts.

To Eaise - I have been gaming all my life. I dont think its fair to question my credibility because I decided that I don't care for the games on the Wii U enough to buy it. The fact of the matter is I had the same feeling about the Wii. Yet I bought one thinking eventually I would find games I like on it. And it never really happened. I bought a total of 3 games for it in 5 years. Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy and Wii Fit. It doesn't mean there weren't more, because there were. But I didn't feel like I needed to buy them. Even the flagship titles like Zelda just didn't really call out to me as they once did.

I am not saying I will never find another game to play. That's highly unlikely. What I'm saying is I don't want to purchase a console I know for a fact won't be used very often just so I can play 1 or 2 games on it that catch my attention. If I'm going to do that I'll do it when it's cheaper. I'm in no rush. I don't have a lot of disposable income so I only usually buy one console early then get others later when they are cheaper. I appreciate your comment. I just wanted to kinda defend myself because I don't get caught up in the whole "you're not a real gamer" rhetoric.

eaise2188d ago

Your first comment made it seem like you were one of those Nintendoom people that think Nintendo is a failed company that won't release any good games. You have to be careful with the way you word things or people will assume you are completely against whatever the subject is. I understand that gaming is expensive so some people can only get one console, I'm in that boat myself, but I can tell you that you missed quite a few good games on the Wii if those are the only titles you owned. And you will definitely miss good games on the Wii U. Wait till e3 and see what awesome things Nintendo has in store for us. Maybe that will change your mind.

Benjaminkno2188d ago (Edited 2188d ago )

I hope they rerelease the first one.

This game needs to do well so there can be a third installation.

Adolph Fitler2188d ago

Hope it builds upon the awesome foundations of the original.. This game is part of the reason I own a Wii-U...
